The Beat Goes On…

Looks like it’s a Sonny & Cher kinda day, because (once again via Insty) I see the following:

President Joe Biden’s latest round of attacks on guns is helping to drive a historic sales surge that continues to leave store shelves bare of firearms and ammunition.
Industry officials said that June sales were the second-highest ever for the month, at about 1.3 million. Only June 2020 had a higher number for that month, at 2,177,586.

Anyone checked the availability of AR-15s recently?  Orders still backed up out to infinity?  Thought so.

And now that the 9mm/5.56mm ammo pipeline seems to be opening up, things are going ahead as planned.

Not as planned by Biden and the anti-gunners, of course, which is why they’re running around like headless chickens, trying to pass all sorts of stopgap anti-gun legislation.

Now if we can just get the increased flow of .45 ACP to lower the prices down from nosebleed levels, maybe I can get some 1911 practice going again.  My Springfield thinks I must have left town or something…

  1. Where is this “opening up” happening?
I just paid $252 for 600 rds of steel case .223.
    That’s almost 50 cents a trigger pull.
That price needs to half, then half again.

  2. My local death dealer has some AR-15s in stock, just a few. But it’s never been a huge part of their inventory. They do have quite a few AR style shotguns.

The interesting thing is that ARs rarely show up on the used rack, and when they do, they disappear quick. Except that Colt M16A1 clone, I assume because of the Prancing Pony Premium. That, and nobody wants to shoot iron sights any more.

  3. I just joined the Garand Owner Assoc, just so I can have an M1 delivered to my door. Now I need an 18″ bayonet…although the thought of butt stroking an antifa pussy tickles me…can’t do that with a ‘modern sporting rifle’. We were taught that back in the day, my thought: “I do this and I’m going to break the ‘rifle’.”

My drill sgt agreed with me privately, but it was still on the lesson plan. All hail the lesson plan… And I say this as a former Army instructor, (Master Gunner Course) I updated my ‘course notes’ to include the M1a1 and was widely reviled for changing my ‘lesson plan’. I was standing on an M1A1 using M1 notes. The two are not the same…bastards.

I would dearly love to answer the door to the Biden Innoculation Checkers with said pike…

  4. we have commie politicians around here and they keep making the false claim that 90% of people want government approval of all transfers of firearms. Clearly the numbers of NICS checks and empty shelves at gun shops show that the commies are wrong.
