One More Thing

The Christchurch terrorist was probably frightened off when he thought that the heroic guy who chased after him was armed, as noted here:

[Aziz] said the gunman ran back to his car to get another gun, so he threw a credit card machine at him.
He said he could hear his two youngest sons, 11 and five, urging him to come back inside.
The gunman returned firing but Mr Aziz said he ran past parked cars which prevented him from being shot. Mr Aziz spotted a gun the attacker had dropped and picked it up. He pointed it and squeezed the trigger but it was empty. He said the gunman ran back to the car for a second time to grab another weapon.
‘He gets into his car and I just got the gun and threw it on his window like an arrow and blasted his window,’ he said. ‘The windshield shattered, that’s why he got scared.’
He said the gunman was cursing at him, yelling that he was going to kill them all.
But he drove away and Mr Aziz said he chased the car down the street to a red light before it made a U-turn and sped away.

Couple-three points to be made here.  Firstly, all praise and kudos to Our Hero — I mean, chasing down a gunman with a card-reader?  Dude!  And considering that Aziz came from Afghanistan, this was probably a walk in the park by comparison to what he’s seen.  (“Only one  gunman?  Phooey.  Try ten  gunmen — now that’s  scary.”)

Secondly, note that even though Aziz was unarmed, the asshole thought  he had a gun and was shooting at him — hence the flight, and eventual capture.  I leave it to the imagination as to what might have happened had a few congregants been armed, but we all know that story.  Too bad it’s illegal to defend yourself with a gun in KiwiLand — because, of course, nothing bad has ever happened in New Zealand to justify that.  Until something bad did  happen.  And this was really  bad.

Finally, if any of those Muslim worshipers in Christchurch have ever supported, even philosophically, the acts of Muslim terrorism (and I’ll bet there are a few), just remember how it felt when it was happening to you.  I know this prick was a nutcase — but so are the extremist Muslims who do the same, or worse, to non-Muslims.

Jihad  cuts both ways, doesn’t it?

Not Quite, Amir

In the wake of the mass killings in New Zealand, boxer Amir Khan made this statement:

“Islamophobia kills and has no place in the world.”

Without in any way downplaying the tragedy in Christchurch or diminishing the horror that this asshole inflicted on his victims, let’s at least acknowledge that in the ledger of religion-inspired killings over the past half-century, Islam (or Islamophilia) has caused untold more deaths than Islamophobia (cf. around 3,000  on 9/11, to mention but a single incident).

Once again, I’m not trying to excuse the Australian terrorist’s wickedness — I think he should be boiled alive in oil — but let’s keep the proper perspective on this incident.

And one last thing:  Islamophobia is not endemic, but a reaction  against Islam’s perceived excesses (ISIS, 9/11, 10/10, Manchester bombing, etc.)

Islam’s enmity towards non-Muslims, however, is very much an integral part of their faith.  That  is irrefutable.

Clemency? I Think Not

Apparently the ISIS murderers have surrendered after getting the shit bombed out of them.

I can already hear the lamentations because, of course, there are Wimmens & Chilluns caught up in the whole mess so therefore we should give them all hugs and kisses and welcome them back into modern society.

Uh-huh.

After over a decade of rape, pillaging, murder and plunder from ISIS, it’s really hard for me to have any sympathy or call for any mercy for these assholes, especially given their track record in this regard (not to mention this recent discovery).  What the U.S. / coalition forces should have  done was hand all these “prisoners” over to the Kurds and Yaziris, after making sure that the latter had all the equipment they needed (e.g. bayonets, ammo etc.), and left it to the locals to mete out justice as they saw fit.

Feel free to add your thoughts in Comments, as did the Brits in the Daily Mail  articles.

Good Advice

I remember the brouhaha when Insty suggested that motorists, when faced with rioters blocking roads, simply “Run. Them. Down.”

And what should We The People do, when violent rioters and activists start threatening our food supply?

Farms, abattoirs and factories have been subjected to vandalism, and owners and staff sent death threats during an alarming increase in incidents.
But a minority of vegan campaigners want the UK to become a meat-free society and are going to extreme lengths to achieve their goal.
The National Pig Association and the British Poultry Council are among the organisations being advised by specialist police.
Leading food writer William Sitwell recently described the vitriol he faced after making a flippant comment about vegans.
“There were threats to rape my wife, tie her up and cut off her genitals,” he told this newspaper.
According to an investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches, Jewish workers were branded Nazis when members of vegan group SAVE began protesting outside kosher Kedassia abattoir in East London two years ago.
Some broke in and daubed the walls of the abattoir with anti-Semitic slogans, according to the programme, and one protester yelled: ‘It’s a holocaust. You Nazis!’
SAVE admitted on Facebook it was responsible for daubing Holocaust images, initially suggesting the use of the term was justified, but it later apologised.

Big of them.  Over Here, I’m trying to think what I’d do if I was faced with this situation at Kroger:

I’m thinking polite requests to let me through at first.  Then trying to force my through.  (This bunch of skinny malnourished twerps would not be able to offer much resistance, methinks.)

However, if they were to turn violent, or even threaten violence?  Maybe I’m over-imagining things, mind you, because I don’t see this nonsense getting much traction in the United States, and certainly not in Texas except (maybe) in Austin, where I’m willing to bet that the vegan infestation is six times that of anywhere else in the state.  And I don’t shop for food in Austin, ever.  (Hell, I hardly even visit  the place except when I’m visiting Longtime Friend Trevor.)

It strikes me that these fucking headcases are quick to threaten violence to get their own way.  Perhaps they need a quick lesson or two in real violence, just to keep them in their place in the social pecking order.

I’m not thinking of going to the guns, of course:  this situation doesn’t even come close to that course of action.  However, I do think I need to invest in a can or two of decent pepper spray.  Anyone have recommendations as to brands and / or strengths?

Seriously?

Here’s an interesting news snippet:

Antifa expands its hit list as political violence escalates

Well, well, well.  I wonder just how far Pantifa will go to expand their little “hit list”.  And when you’ve lost Stephen Colbert

I mean, I’m not as well-known as Tucker Carlson, but I am kinda known around the place thanks to my various blogs over the years — and quite frankly, when it comes to being conservative, I make ol’ Tucker look like an old-school liberal Democrat.  If this crowd is all about Smash Racism, I did write Let Africa Sink, after all (not that I think the essay is racist, but then again, it’s exponentially more controversial than anything Tucker has ever said).  So could I make the Pantifa Expanded Hit List in the future?  This might get interesting.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the range.
