Responding To Tyranny

Holy shit.

Devid R killed himself, his wife Linda and their daughters after he faked a Covid-19 jab certificate and feared his children would be taken away when it was discovered.
Police found two adults, both 40, and three children aged four, eight and 10 dead from gunshot wounds in a family home in Koenigs Wusterhausen south of Berlin on Saturday.
In a farewell note found by police, the man, named as Devid R, said he forged a vaccination certificate for his wife Linda. Her employer had found out, prompting the couple to fear they would be arrested and lose their children.

This is the result of totalitarianism, where someone is so fearful of disproportionate government punishment that they end up doing something horrible.

This is a catalogue of catastrophes, from government putting pressure on companies to enforce Covid-related regulation, to a man doing something stupid just so his family’s income can be protected, to the threat of losing his children for doing so, and the whole tragic consequence.

Understand:  I’m not excusing this guy nor his actions.  What I’m saying is that excessive government action — most especially when it comes to threats against families — can have the direst outcomes when a man (rightly or wrongly) perceives that he is cornered and helpless.

And something else the government — in this case the German, but it could be any government — should note is that they got off lightly.  Our late friend happened to shoot his own family on this occasion;  but he could just as easily have shot the government agents first when they showed up to take his kids away, and then turned the gun on his family.

Perhaps he should have,

  1. My brother-in-law lives in Germany and is looking for an escape route.. he’s afraid of the same response.

    1. The Aussies are just walking out of their gulags, but they are adding some sort of barrier now, I hear. I can just hear the theme song for the Great Escape now…

Tyrants cannot stand uppity proles – especially ones that make them look bad.
On the flip-side, their heavy-hand gets much worse, I fear they will find out how botched their gun control efforts really are\were. Joey Fosters may revert to his original mindset of the country’s founding.

  2. One of the most dangerous things in the world is a good man backed into a corner.

As has been noted here before, we have a switch that had “Put up with it” on one side and “Shoot everybody” on the other, and TPTB REALLY don’t want to be around if/when that switch trips. Basically good, moral people shrink from violence until there’s no other option, but once there IS no other option history has shown they’ll set to violence with a will, far more violence than the people who backed them into that corner can safely enjoy.

As H.L. Menken said: “Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”

    1. We’ll go all Jacksonian on them if they push us too far.
They deny the possibility, but it will come for them nevertheless.

  3. “Perhaps he should have”

He should, less shooting his family.

He should distribute the agent’s weapons to his family with instructions to repeat when necessary.

  4. Being a Texan, I’d never consider such a thing.

“Yeah I made a card. You wanted a card, I gave you one. So what?”

Of course, this isn’t Germany and I’m not German. But I’d absolutely take them out. Give the wife plausible deniability. Then again, that would probably only be useful in a functioning court system.

That said, I’ve had more than one law enforcement officer tell me they don’t catch the smart ones. Just be smart, think out your moves.

  5. That’s tragic that the man killed his wife and family. He should have sent some bureaucrats to the here after before taking out his family and himself

  6. It’s tragic that he saw no other way out. The common man has little recourse when the system is grinding him up

    1. Correct, and things like that have been happening all over Europe for years.

He was of course not smart at all when he faked that covid paperwork without considering the possible consequences. Whether you agree with those consequences or not is irrelevant when coming to that conclusion.

Between the communofascists in control in Berlin and those in Brussels (iow the EU) most of the EU has been that way for over a decade now, if not twenty years, and there’s no real end in sight as the citizens have no way to change things either through elections (which are rigged and ignored as needed to give the “desired outcome” ) or through revolution (as the government controls all means of violence).

  7. If you’re at the point where it’s time to shoot, don’t shoot the innocent. SHOOT THE DAMNED TYRANTS.

Gah. Some people just don’t know how to American, ya know?
