Tricksies & Accomplices

From Reader Mike S., news of this little reindeer game:

Well, yes… except:

Attorney General Ken Paxton has also called for fleeing Democrats to be arrested and offered his office’s services in “hunting down and compelling the attendance of anyone who abandons their office” by breaking quorum.

And as Reader Mike points out, the last time these assholes tried this, they were tracked down in their little out-of-state hidey-holes by the Texas Rangers, arrested and brought back to Austin.

Maybe they could go to Cuba.  They’d fit right in, especially that Commie bitch Crockett — and by the way:  that “war chest” of hers?  It’s against the law to use campaign funds in this manner.

Should be fun.  And the gerrymandered districts are going to be redrawn eventually, anyway.

Idiots.

  1. The Democrats have gerrymandered before and when that process of redistricting benefits them they are all for the process

Now the democrats don’t like a taste of their own medicine.

    Boo hoo bitches!

  2. I don’t mind the gerrymandering (the Dems are better at it overall actually if you look at the state by state numbers) but wait until it is due by regular census/apportionment policy. It is vastly better to follow regular order on these things.

BTW- Republicans in various states have used the quorum break too.

  3. Other reading this morning indicates that Gov. Abbott intends to use the Texas constitution to expel any member of the state House who isn’t in their seats and ready to work by 3 p.m. local time Monday. Article III, Section 13, gives the governor the power to declare the seats forfeited by abandonment and fill them with his hand-picked replacements.

    GOD BLESS TEXAS!

  4. SWMBO saw a comment somewhere noting that fleeing to Chicago to protest ‘gerrymandering’ would be akin to fleeing to Wisconsin to protest cheese…
