I’ve been to Pompeii. Those Latins were a filthy bunch, people after my own heart. There were more sex shops there, complete with 2000 year old dirty paintings on the wall, than I would have believed.
Our guide was a 70-something year old dirty old pervert ex-pat Brit who told us salacious tales of Pompeian humping and pumping while winking at all the 60 something tourist ladies. They loved it (not my wife (I hope)) and I’m sure he had a busy evening.

Pompeii was a resort town, back when most of the modern forms of entertainment hadn’t been invented. So they relied heavily upon the oldest form.
