“Walking Back”

If Biden’s puppeteers have to do any more “walking back” after the senile old Commie blurts out yet another piece of sublime idiocy, they’ll end up back in the 1800s.

Here’s the background:

“I was in Massachusetts about a month ago on the site of the largest old coal plant in America. Guess what? It cost them too much money,” Biden said at an event in Carlsbad, California. “No one is building new coal plants because they can’t rely on it, even if they have all the coal guaranteed for the rest of the existence of the plant. So it’s going to become a wind generation.”

“And all they’re doing is, it’s going to save them a hell of a lot of money and using the same transmission line that they transmitted the coal-fired electric on, we’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar power.”

Of course, this pissed off West Virginia’s Mr. Coal, Sen. Joe Manchin:

“Comments like these are the reason the American people are losing trust in President Biden and instead believes he does not understand the need to have an all in energy policy that would keep our nation totally energy independent and secure,” Manchin said. “Let me be clear, this is something the President has never said to me.”

…and here’s the latest “sorry, but he didn’t know what he was talking about (again)” statement from his Chief Back-Walker, the execrable Karine Jean-Pierre:

President Biden knows that the men and women of coal country built this nation: they powered its steel mills and factories, kept its homes and schools and offices warm. They made this the most productive and powerful nation on Earth. He came to the White House to end years of big words but little action to help the coal-producing parts of our country. Working closely with Senator Manchin, a tireless advocate for his state and the hard-working men and women who live there, President Biden has helped get this part of the country back to work… [and then a whole string of similar lies that I won’t bother you with].

The schematic seems to be:  Biden says something idiotic, then the back-walkers say something that precisely contradicts what he just said, with a hefty seasoning of lies, bullshit and mumbles to drown out our roars of laughter.

This is no way to run a country.  It’s no way to run anything.

First tomorrow, then November 2024.

  1. And once again Manchin says something decent, common sense, almost good enough for you to think he’s one of the old-time Democrats who really cares for his country and the American people, right before he tucks his tail between his legs and votes for whatever the commies in his party put out there.

      1. I’m thinking they either have pictures of him naked with a donkey, or pictures of him with a dead boy or a live girl who isn’t old enough for high school in his bed. Was his name ever on the manifest of Epstein’s Lolita Express? That would explain a lot, too.

  2. For the love of all that’s holy, would someone just shut off his microphone? Somebody needs to take him to the Old President’s Home and find him a sunny seat in the garden.

Joe, show me a steel mill that can do the job with solar. Show me an auto plant that can run on windmills. Where are the grocery manufacturers or meat packing plants that will run on alternate energy? All you Greeners who think we’ll all be driving electric cars in 12 years and robot trucks will be delivering our products by then, get your heads out of your butts and look at the reality of it.

America won’t be a green nation any time soon, nor will any other nation on this planet. Europe is beginning to see that. This winter will make believers of a lot of people by the time the Spring thaw comes along. Pump the oil, shovel the coal, and let’s get America back on top, where we belong!

  3. The last Coal fired Power plant ( Braydon Point ) here is Mass was torn down ( Imploded ) in 2019. But It wasn’t even close to the largest Coal plant in the US. It was replaced by plants that use oil and Nat Gas. Yes, that plant was expensive and inefficient. It came on line in 1963 – Designed by I firm I worked for in the 70″s ( Chas T Main ) That’s why it was replaced. and there is no way we will ever generate enough wind and solar power to even make a dent in current fossil fuel generation capacity. The only real replacement for fossil fuels is Nukes ( either Fission or Fusion )

    1. …and all that wind and Solar does is make conventional Thermal Plants less efficient because of the viable and unpredictable nature of their power generation.

  4. Please forgive me if I have posted this before. Ran across it
quite a few years ago and have found that it explains quite a bit
about why politicians say and do some of the things you see and hear.
Credit to the original author, who I no longer remember but wish I could shake his hand and tell him I have NEVER seen a better explanation / definition of most of the politicians we are now living under !!

‘You have to bear in mind that these people really are very ignorant in the most straightforward sense of the word. They know little beyond that which is needed to succeed within their political system, a general understanding of e.g. history or economics ( let alone science, technology or mathematics ) is far beyond them. They believe the things they do not just because they know so little but also because they have actively avoided learning more about much of anything. They blunder blindly on, attempting to fit the ugly feet of their beliefs into the glass slippers of reality !’ End Quote.
