Dept. Of Righteous Shootings

…from the Youth Division comes this little tale of gunny goodness.

Executive Summary:  Father gets upset with family, threatens to kill everyone in the house, and indeed starts off by killing his adult stepdaughter.  His son says “Enough is enough” and blows a hole in Daddy Dearest, who then assumes room temperature.  Cops shrug and give the kid an “Attaboy” medal.

The only sad thing is that the woman had to die before her asshole stepfather was ushered out.

Oh, Alabama:

A Waffle House customer in Birmingham, Alabama, shot and killed a man Sunday morning who was [allegedly] threatening to shoot patrons in the restaurant.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money indicated that deputies were called about the man who was allegedly threatening patrons, but one of the restaurant’s customers got into “an altercation” with the suspect and shot him before deputies reached the scene.

Our Hero then left the scene before the fuzz arrived.

Now I’m not saying that he should have done so, but on the other hand there may have been extenuating circumstances, such as he might not have wanted to lose his carry piece to the evidence locker.

Or he himself is a criminal, in which case oops.

Whatever:

Here’s one Righteous Shooting that has had an unhappy ending:

Mario Roggero shot at three thieves in Grinzane Cavour on April 28, 2021 after they entered his store, bound his daughter’s hands behind her back, threatened to kill his wife and helped themselves to expensive jewellery and watches.

Fearing for his life, Roggero was seen on CCTV chasing them out of the shop and shooting at least five times.

Andrea Spinelli and Giuseppe Mazzarino died a few yards from the shop entrance, one in the street and the other on the corner with a side street. A third robber was injured and later arrested.

Of course, had this happened in, say, Texas and not in Yurp, there’d be parades in his honor and several attaboys from the police (and me, for instance) for ridding society of three violent assholes.  Instead:

Roggero has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Disgusting.  But not entirely unexpected in gun-hating Europe.

Also, in Texas the asshole prosecutors would be facing all sorts of anger from the voters and almost certain loss of office;  but in Yurp, they’re quite happy to lick the chains that enslave them.

Range time, Kim?  I think so.

Update:  And it gets worse.

Passed to me by Reader Hugh S., thankee, comes this lovely tale:

A 21-year-old man by the name of Elivelton Neves Moreira is seen in footage (attached below) approaching a group of women and children outside of a school in São Paulo, Brazil.

Moreira was wielding a firearm with the intent to rob them, swiftly approaching the group with his gun pointed directly at them.

Whereupon his day went from “fine” to “terrible”.  And there’s

VIDEO!!!!!

Brava, Signora.

See if you can spot the bullshit in this otherwise-happy little tale:

Two alleged robbers entered the pizzeria around 8 p.m. “wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks.”

One of the alleged robbers was armed with a handgun and fired a round while trying to get behind the counter. One of the pizzeria employees then opened fire on the suspect, shooting the alleged robber multiple times.

The alleged robber was pronounced dead approximately 30 minutes after entering the pizzeria.

If you bust into a place wearing a mask and hoodie, and start popping off rounds, there’s no “alleged” or “suspected” involved:  you are a fucking robber.

And in this case, you are fucking dead.

From what I can gather, some mope who disagreed with his ex-girlfriend’s choice of partner broke into said partner’s house, and pointed a gun at New Boyfriend’s head.

Whereupon New Boyfriend shot Ex-Boyfriend dead, right there at the foot of the bed.

While the cops did initially take New Boyfriend down to the station for a friendly chat, they apparently released him after a pat on the back, and are not going to charge him with any crime.

All good stuff, except of course for the ex-boyfriend;  but we don’t care about him and nor does anyone else.
