Not Long To Go

According to SOTI, the oldest mass shooter in U.S. history was age 72.

I turn 72 on Ammo Day in November this year.

Coincidence?  I guess it all depends what happens in the world, whether I miss it by thismuch  or hang on for a year or two and go for the record.  Right now it seems unlikely that I’d shoot the works prematurely, so to speak, because I’m quite enjoying all this Trumpy goodness and the Marxist wailing.  But later on?

Factors that could influence this event:  Democrats cheat their way into winning the Presidential Election in 2028 and immediately call for universal gun confiscation or whatever (see:  Virginia’s new gun control law as a starting point).  The problem with this scenario is that assuming I live that long, I’d be up against some fierce competition — and that’s just among my Readers.  Gawd knows how many other irascible Olde Pharttes are out there who would prefer to take out a few (okay, lots of) Commies rather than let their lives end gradually in the excruciating pain of [insert Fatal Senior Ailment here].

As SOTI also said:  “Right now, a lengthy prison term seems less like a deterrent and more like a paid vacation, with free medical.”

Note to the Perpetually Fearful:  this whole post was a joke.

Or maybe not.

  1. Check out the 2024 movie Civil War. Was very interesting. Make sure it’s the one made in 2024. So interesting.

What is the status of the SAVE bill, or whatever it was called? The one where everyone needs to show an ID to vote. I think I heard it passed the senate and was going to the house or verse visa?

Voter ID should be mandatory. Everywhere
And paper ballots only. No electronic gizmos and machines.

When all else fails, and tyrants take over, then America’s turn to “the original homeland security, the second amendment”.

  2. “…call for universal gun confiscation…”

That right there, to me, is a truly laugh out loud moment.
    The ridiculousness of the thing.
That someone, anyone, could be so arrogant and out of touch with reality that they could say what I can or can’t own.

    1. “ That someone, anyone, could be so arrogant and out of touch with reality that they could say what I can or can’t own”

      Maura Healey
John Velis (this asshole is a veteran too)
      Ned Lamont
      Abigail Spanberger
      Gavin Newsome

And many more oath breaking tyrant fucking dirtbags.

    2. Nice thought, but I refer you to prickster and the madiganites.
NOBODY will sell me fun shit anymore and I’m past the point I want to jump through hoops to work around their filth. >:-[

  3. Does anyone make an all-terrain motorized wheelchair with a mount that accepts M14/M16 – I’ll be 87 when that ’28 election comes around, and might need such an appliance?

    1. I will turn 80 the week after the election. If saving America requires me to be a rifleman, we’re doomed. I was never that good and physical ailments have eliminated any long gun ability. What I have done is decide where my line is and what I’m willing to give for the republic.

  4. / irascible Olde Pharttes …/

…not particularly irascible, but I’ll turn ninety a couple of weeks before the next Inaugural; perhaps it’s time to start compiling a list. Not politicians; they’re too easily replaced, and actually much less than they (or they’d like you to) believe; rather, let’s start outing and doxing university administrators, town- and county-level hired officials, middle-level corporate management, and similar effectuators. Kill the NCO’s, not the officers.
    .

  5. I turn 73 next month. I guess Kim and I are just “darn kids” in this crowd. So far at least, I can still see, and get under way with my own steam. No joint issues.

“Gawd knows how many other irascible Olde Pharttes are out there who would prefer to take out a few…”. You know the old saw: “It was a trap, sir! There were two of them!”.

  6. I’m more worried that the Dems, with the help of Thune and other backstabbing RINOs, will cheat their way into the majority this fall and after that, all bets are off.
