Two things to note here: firstly, Keith Self is my local guy and yes, I’m going to vote for him every chance I get.
Secondly, that fucking Muslim-only EPCOT EPIC City was planned to be built in Keith Self’s district (or very close to it — the maps are a little unclear). Fortunately, that festering shithole was nuked by our worthy TxGov* but the assholes have renamed the thing and keep pushing it forward. Self and Roy’s caucus would (I hope) stop it dead, forever.
Like I said, we need an asterisk in the First Amendment, and this is a good start. It’s not enough just to trust the Constitution to protect our republic — see countless Second Amendment transgressions for examples — we need to start doing what the Texas constitution does and put in measures that actively resist and ban bullshit like shari’a.
*Yeah, Greg Abbott is also going to get my vote every time.

Greg Abbot is a RINO weathervane, totally for sale to the highest bidder. That bidder is currently Big Pharma, but he’s open minded.
Oddly, that puts him in the top 10% of governors in the US, because of the weathervane part.
But if the Mohammedans came up with enough money, he’d figure out how to use a prayer rug with hish wheelchair.
The worry is the race for U.S. Senate. Who has the best chance of beating the Dem/communists? That would be John Cornyn. Yeah, hold your nose and vote. Again. Lived most of my adult life in California. I can tell you how this turns out.
I haven’t read too much about it, but that whole “EPIC City” things smells like a scam. Hopefully just to deprive muzzies of their money, but basically just anyone stupid enough to invest in that pipe dream. I don’t think they had any real intention to build, nor any real legal pathway either.
I’m all for the sharia-free idea, but getting an actual bill voted on and passed? Hell, they can’t even get enough R’s together for the SAVE act. 90% of the repubs are nothing but RINO’s marking time until the next election while taking lessons from Pelosi on their stock portfolio. Fuck both parties. And yeah, hold your nose and vote for the least noxious one.

Yeah, you would think that at first glance. Like I said above, I’m from California. Fought the good fight there for decades, have the “scars” to show for it. Nothing like that has ever happened in Texas. In fact, Texas recently became an open carry state. My take after living here for 10 years is that Texicans are still too complacent. Just look at how close Beto came to defeating Ted Cruz. Ken Paxton might be a better choice, but he is carrying too much baggage to make it across the finish line.
