Not that I think anyone sitting on my back porch needs any reminding — and of course, to us every day is Ammo Day (depending on the state of one’s wallet).
But why not a little extra splurge on some gun-fodder? How can it hurt?
And here are a few suggestions (not recommendations, because of course I get no kickbacks):
Georgia Arms, Lucky Gunner, Gman, FastAmmo, Ammo ASAP, Sentry Ammo, Ammo.com and so on. Feel free to suggest your favorite outlet in Comments.
OR — and here’s a thought — you could always swing by your local Merchant Of Death store and drop him a few bucks to help keep him in business. That’s what I’m going to do, later today (hello, Plano’s Gun Master!). Yeah, it may be cheaper to get ammo online. But nothing beats the feeling of getting some ammo in your hands, right now.

Ask me how I know this.
Random thought: why not get yourself just a box or two of ammo that you’ve never fired through your favorite gun before? My example of what I’d like to try in the old Browning 1885:

“But nothing beats the feeling of getting some ammo in your hands, right now.”

HA! Ain’t that the truth.
The shit’s heavy…substantial, feels like you bought something worth what you paid….rather than some silly plastic chinese trinketry that could blow away as soon as you step outside the store.
Four 100 rd boxes of anything will put a smile on your dumpy mug.
I haven’t bought ammo in person for at least a couple years so I am overdue. As it is, I have to make some “rounds” (no pun intended) today so I’m gonna saunter into the ammo dump and grab some. Maybe some 9mm. Maybe some heavy assed 12ga. Hell, if they just so happen to have some of the elusive .348 I might hafta dig DEEP and buy all they have.
Happy Birthday, Kim, and many happy returns! Thanks for the reminder.
Happy birthday Kim!!!
Buffalo Bore, works great in the Browning 1886 Carbine. I shot a buffalo with their 425gr hard cast and it knocked the buff down on first shot and they had me shoot it again when his buddies prodded him to get up, he fell over stone dead at that point. They do thump you and the metal butt plate isn’t that joyful at that level of recoil but the rifle will eat them just fine.
