It’s still hot here in central Virginia, but the light is noticeably changing, a foretelling of autumn.
Two weeks ago, I saw the first red leaves on our dogwoods, and I have acorns on our driveway, their earliest arrival in my recollection.
I wonder if that means a colder than average winter is coming?
