The Draft was a small price to pay for mini-skirts, go-go boots, and bra burning. We were blessed to grow up in the Golden Age!
Was a yoot in the 70’s, came of age in the 80’s. Therefore all things 60’s & 70’s were beneath contempt. Bring on big crimp-curled hair, snakeskin miniskirts, cocaine, and Chuck Norris.
Now I fondly wish to be back in either era. I’d put up with Disco again to have cool cars and watch SDS activists get beaten with clubs, or shitty computers to have Ronald Reagan in office again.
That pic with the Triumph brought back a good memory. I bought a new 1970 Triumph Bonneville, same style as the one in the pic, and rode it for several years, until it was stolen. I also had a girlfriend who looked very much like the young woman on the back of the one in the pic, except she had red hair. (take note, Kim) I discovered to my delight a 1/2 hour to one hour ride on that was foreplay to her, and she was ready and anxious to have her way with me. Those old two cylinder Triumphs vibrated a lot, and I wonder if that’s what did it?
Mmmokay, I don’t get the one with the ballerina and the statue. Lil help?
