U.S. Senator John Cornyn (TX) was always an Establishment RINO — hell, he only ever got into the Senate because his opponent was some nutcase, and then he’s had the incumbent’s advantage ever since. And he’s been a royal pain in the ass, too.
Cornyn promised to support Trump’s recess appointments and then blocked the nominees the very next day. He also announced that Trump could face indictment for insurrection after the events of Jan. 6, 2021, while promoting the fake news that protestors had killed a Capitol police officer. The incumbent senator even endorsed amnesty for illegal aliens. Oh, and he supported “red flag” gun laws after the Uvalde school shooting, thus pissing off people like Yer Humble Narrator and a few million other gun owners.
Not anymore. Yesterday, I and (it appears) a whole bunch of other pissed-off conservative Texans got together and kicked his RINO ass out:
He got Dallas because that’s more or less his home turf, and Austin because a) Austin is asshoe, and b) they voted for him because they must have thought Cornyn would be easier to beat in the Generals later this year, which again shows how delusional the Left can be*. (And nobody cares what Corpus Christi thinks.)
So long, RINO.
And well done, Pax. Get up there and start representing Texas. Just remember who brung you to the dance, and all will be well in the future.
*The Evil Party’s nominee for the U.S. Senate race in November will be one James Talarico, who thinks God is non-binary, abortion is Christian, and Jesus was a pro-transgenderism feminist. (I am not making this up.)

Paxton was a stud as AG. Color me skeptical he’ll be as effective in the Senate, simply because he’s one many – stupid motherfuckers STILL can’t (read: won’t) pass the SAVE act; Paxton will have zero impact on the spineless GOP cocksuckers and their commitment to sucking their own dicks.
Fingers crossed Chip Roy lands Paxton’s old gig.
I don’t know that Paxton will be better, but a least we’re clearing out some of the deadwood in the Senate – Cornyn was the Webster’s Dictionary definition of a RINO. The incumbent advantage is so severe that it takes some major leverage to overcome.

The final map shows an even bigger blowout win for Paxton. Cornyn only won a single area in Austin. That yellow patch on the south coast is a sparsely populated county south of Corpus Christy with less than a dozen total votes.
Dunno much about Cornyn other than what I’ve read on Fuchs-Nachrichten or that ilk. But I’m glad to see the RINO’s get turned into Chinese Viagra.
I was involved in several campaigns back in the 90’s with some success (remember the Contract for America). On Election night several of the people I helped back and campaign for, tearfully said how much they owed my particular ilk to get over the top. The gratitude lasted about 48 hours then not a damn thing happened. They went to DC to boink lobbyists (some of them female), hit the strip-clubs, and sit on their ass, under the incumbent umbrella. If they bothered to do anything it was negative.
Its good to see the occasional beat down to show these bastards who’s still boss.
