Just so everyone knows: I have been feeling exactly like this ever since my own Great Wetback Episode (1986), and I feel it to this day, every day.
Of course, I’m not a farmer; but I like to think that over the past forty-odd years I’ve done my bit to make this country just a teeny little greater than when I came here.
Old school immigrants from the past and also in addition new LEGAL immigrants came / arrive to work hard and help build the country and a better life for themselves and their families
Today’s ILLEGAL immigrants look at America like a sponge – squeeze everything you can out of it and never contribute a damn thing – except fraud and crime maybe.

It sounds like the South African farmers are assimilating and providing for themselves. These are the immigrants who should be welcomed to America.

I can think of no better candidates for immigration than South African farmers. I suppose some from Poland or Hungary would also be fine, should they be so inclined. Most of Europe should be on the no immigration list with the rest of the world’s Muslim countries, unfortunately.

where are the South Africans settling in the US? They’ll be in for a rude awakening when they cannot purchase certain firearms in places like New York state, Maryland, Virginia, most of New England, Delaware, etc
I don’t have any stats, but from what I can see they’re heading for southern states like Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and some of the midwestern ones like Iowa and Nebraska. I know of one family who settled in Texas, the poor souls.
