More Bastardy From California

I thought this nonsense had been declared illegal:

Several major credit card companies have decided to move forward with a plan to track purchases made at gun retailers in California, CBS News reported Monday.

American Express, Visa, and Mastercard will implement a new merchant code for firearm and ammunition retailers, allowing banks to track “suspicious” purchases to comply with a new California law.

As I’ve said before, whenever government needs a BJ, corporations have absolutely no problem falling to their knees.

Fuckers.

Cash.  Gun shows/estate sales.  Individual purchases.  (I don’t know how any of this would help CA residents, as they appear to be doomed, gun-wise.)

Update:  Seems like Idaho has the right idea, though.

  1. The fate of Ceausescu cometh soon to many who are not expecting it.

    The peasants are getting annoyed.

The elites often forget, that in the end, they are the employees, hired by the peasants to protect them.

  2. I am so dik for disaster stories every time I go online. How about some good news for a change?

  3. I am very happy that I moved here (was Steve_in_CA). I have a CWP even though Idaho has Constitutional Carry, it allows me to bypass NICS at FFLs.

  4. I’m already on a list with a hunting license, gun license, voter rolls, department of labor at the federal and state level, SSN, etc etc. what’s one more list?

  5. We’ll see if that bill makes it out of the state senate. Given that this IS Idaho, there’s a very good chance.

I’m at the point in my life where, if I were living adjacent to Kalifornia, I’d make it my business to sell as many guns from my personal collection to people in that state, off the record, just to screw the commies over. I’d offer to see ammo to people in Washington but they can just toodle on over the state line as it is, so that’s rather unneccessary.

Steve, where ya at? I’m up in the Panhandle.

          1. I was there last year. It certainly has changed somewhat since I was first there, back in the 1990s…

  6. In Colorado, starting last year, the DemoRats in the Statehouse implemented a 0.27 per delivery “fee” on all home deliveries…to…I kid you not…offset GlobalClimateChange. This year it jumped another penny. I wrote “my” representative 3 times asking where this new tax manifested? Also reminder her that fuel/road taxes were already paid by the carriers so that makes this “fee” nothing more than a tax by the backdoor. No response. Silly me…forgot we work for them, and takings is their game. Effr’s.

    1. And yet, when I look at the local Amazon distribution hub the vans are mostly electric now. So a tax offsetting globull climate change for a fleet of mostly electric vehicles…wait, aren’t they supposed to save us all? You gotta love the sub-moron class that runs this rapidly deteriorating state. Can’t wait to see who they screw us with after RollyPolis gets term limited. Maybe that guy I saw at the train stop shouting at the pigeons could be governor.

Oh, and I thought it was common knowledge that transparency in government accounting wasn’t for us plebeians, just for the political class to hammer the other side whenever it is convenient.

The weather here is great and the scenery like little else, but good heavens I am seriously looking at enduring hurricanes in order to live in a state that actually has some semblance of sanity left.

      1. Spot on…I was awaiting my Primary ballot (Unaffiliated so I get both Party’s of the Uniparty)…Dem side has a laundry list of losers and reprobates, with the requisite “we can put anyone in at any time we feel like if Squinty-Eyed Joe blows a gasket” a space for their Noncommitted Delegate. R side has only one who’s actually still running, Haley…as in,can this get any more stupid at the hands of the Criminal, Liars, and Cheats? Was curious where Griswold would put Trump on the ballot…yep, last. She’s an operative (obviously), but even that is low.

  7. I had a Bank of America credit card that would get canceled every time I bought ammo. BOA claimed the card was compromised and they would issue a new card that would take 2 to 3 weeks to get. I never had any issues buying from the same venders with my USAA credit card. I dumped BOA after having 7 credit cards in a year.
