Being Prepared

Excellent news from Israel, in the matter of self-defense:

An Israeli news anchor has carried a gun live on air while presenting from the studio amid fear of another Hamas attack.

Lital Shemesh, a presenter for right-wing Israeli broadcaster Channel 14, was pictured on Tuesday sitting behind her anchor desk with a gun tucked into the waistband of her trousers.

Makes sense, of course, because if Channel 14 is indeed a “right-wing” news outlet*, then they would be a likely target of Hamas terrorist scum.

Also, she seems to be quite a cutie:

…and therefore would be a target-within-a-target for terrorists’ swinging dicks — so she damn well should be armed in the event of some Muzzy reindeer games.

Good for her, refusing to be a victim.

*Given the source of the report (a Brit newspaper), “right-wing” would translate as “center-left” in American terminology, i.e. not screamingly-socialist like most TV stations and other media in the West.

  1. A hormone driven emotional female with a gun. sheesh
Can you say erratic “friendly fire”?

My suggestion would be that she stay home with her well armed and experienced husband and take care of the babies. Otherwise, all bets are off.

You know, like trillions of females have done very successfully for millennia.

  2. Good!! I hope her example gets spread far and wide so that more people demand their inherent right to keep and bear arms.

I know that I’m preaching to the choir here but it’s true that God made man, and Sam Colt made them equal.

  3. I thought there was no ‘2nd Amendment’ type laws in Israel and that
private ( non governmental ) gun ownership was, for all practical purposes,
    illegal !!
Has something changed or is private gun ownership possible/easy but has
a some of ‘hoops’ to jump through ??
I saw this mentioned several times in several places right after the invasion
and wondered why, given the country’s history and geographic location would
people NOT BE ALLOWED to own firearms !

  4. And she wasn’t the only one. At least one of the other anchors was also packing heat.
    Good for them.

In other news, Amsterdam police have issued “advise” for people to “not go outdoors alone or after dark” in response to ever escalating street robberies, sexual assault, and other crime (without of course mentioning that 99% of that crime is committed by the “cultural enrichers” aka “asylum seekers” aka black leeches.

  5. I don’t know… Perhaps Israeli reporters have much higher than room temperature IQs, compared to their US & UK counterparts. The idea of any reporters here packing heat is a truly scary thought. They’re dangerous enough with a mic in their hands.
