Let Austin Sink

Who could ever have predicted this outcome?

Texas’ woke capital, Austin, is in the midst of a policing crisis with over 300 vacancies and cops quitting because they feel disrespected, multiple sources tell The Post.

Another 77 officers are expected to retire before the end of March — on top of 264 existing vacancies, according to the Austin Police Association.

Austin Police Department’s staffing is so bad, 911 calls are being redirected to the 311 non-emergency number because there aren’t enough cops to solve crimes.

So… who could ever have predicted this outcome?

Anyone with a fucking brain, is who.

Which effectively excludes anyone who supports Austin politics, that is to say a large majority of people who live there.  Enjoy the apocalypse, assholes.

  1. No sympathy from me. Austin voted themselves into this mess; now they can serve as a cautionary tale. My recommendation to any good folks left is to get out while you can because you’ve waited too long to fight.

    Good luck!

  2. “…Enjoy the apocalypse, assholes.”

They will, and they will enjoy sharing it with you. After all, it will all have been your fault.
    .

  3. I want to support team blue. I really do.

But I also think it a SHTF situation, they are more likely to stand around like potted plants, and watch you & yours burn, if not actively pouring kerosene on it at the behest of the feebs.

As for Portland/Seattle/SF/Austin et all. Meh, you deserve this.

  4. I believe that the breakdown in New Orleans and the surrounding area immediately before, during and after Hurricane Katrina struck revealed to the world what can happen. Numerous police either abandoned their jobs or joined in the looting.

If you’re near a city, learn the choke points to keep rioters, looters, marauders from getting into your community. If you can’t do that then you’re living in an indefensible area.

As far as these cities go, let them go. They have brought this on themselves. Maybe its time to brush up on NYC declaring bankruptcy in the 70s.

    1. Biggest crime wave in the Houston area occurred after Katrina when all the New Orleans refugees up and moved here. Not saying the Houston criminals aren’t bad enough but throw in half the New Orleans criminal class and you got yourself a spree.

After Ike, those same criminals started driving out to the suburbs for a little post-hurricane sight-seeing. I know I stared down more than one carload of vibrants who slowly drove away. Had a Winchester 94 within arm’s reach every time I went outside for several weeks.

  5. not all cities/countries currently plagued with liberal/socialist administrations voted them in; consider that some just may have been voted in by AI/hacked.

    1. That is within the realm of the possible, but considering they deny that, we can say with all sincerity and all evidence seen before the balloon goes up, that they voted for this themselves.
About three years ago there was a woman complaining that she voted for all the things to make Austin a nice place to live, and now, miracle of miracles, she can’t afford to live there.
That’s the case with every city or town where Leftists live and vote.
      Every city and town.

  6. Austin is nowhere near the point where the locals will wake up and start voting out the “D” party wholesale. Problem is the place is so saturated with the mentally delusional (university city) that this may take so long to take hold that most of the smart and those who can leave will have moved away, leaving an even denser nucleus of mentally ill in the pool.

A governor with balls might be able to step in with localized martial law to clean up the place, but this being America, that is not a palatable option (so far). I mean, we can have visions of purple hair gender neutral zombies being shot with live ammo, but it is not likely in the next 20 months give or take.

  7. As far as I’m concerned there are way too many gov’t employees and I have no use for any of them. Fire all of them and yank their benefits too.
