I’d love a 22mag revolver but they are ridiculously priced. I’d prefer a J frame size as a kit gun.

Prefer a S&W 648 myself – and Yes, the price is ridiculous.
I picked up a great deal on some .22 magnum rounds a year and a half ago, although at the time I did not own a gun in that caliber. My BIL had a NIB Colt Trooper III in 22 mag he got early in his LEO days and never fired. I ended up trading him a set of golf clubs and a cheap AR-15 for it. Still haven’t fired it, but knowing it’s in the back of the safe is quite satisfying.
