Bleeding

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of assholes.

  • Neil Cavuto drew 2.192 million viewers in August. By November he was attracting only 1.3 million.
  • The Five also suffered a big loss, going from 3.772 million in August to 2.883 million in November–minus 889,000 viewers.
  • Bret Baier suffered a significant decline of 1,139,000 –3.256 million in August to 2.117 million in November.
  • Martha MacCallum fared worse—she shed 50% of her audience, collapsing from 3.201 million to 1.613 million.
  • Tucker Carlson also has taken a big hit–dropping from 5.719 million in August to 3.444 million in November. That is a drop of 2.275 million.
  • Sean Hannity’s shining star is flaming out. His viewership plummeted from 6.838 million to 2.839 million. That means almost 4 million people fled his show.
  • And Laura Ingraham bled out–she dropped from 4.82 million to 2.114. She lost 2.706 viewers.

I haven’t watched Fox News — not even Tucker — since March this year.  They’ve lost nearly half of their old (Roger Ailes-created) audience.

Good.  Fuck ’em.

  1. I can not agree with you more. And it is not just tv. Sadly a large percentage of radio stations broadcast Fox news breaks on the half hour. They insert all sorts of negative adjectives when “reporting” on Trump or the administration. I have made the jump to OAN and Newsmax. Not perfect but more than tolerable. I can’t stand Fox anymore and wish them the worse.

  2. I gave up on watching or listening to broadcast news several years ago but I kept Fox News on my computer as my ‘go to’ update place and clicked in several times during the day and being old and retired spent a lot of hours reading their stuff, until September and then I backed off and by November they were no longer a bookmark much less a ‘go to’ on my computer. They live for viewers, listeners and clicks and when those are gone their value to advertisers is gone. So, FOX – NO CLICKS FOR YOU !

  3. I really haven’t watched Fox News since election nite 2016. Cable news as a whole is something I avoid. I did catch some of the first debate and the antics of Chris Wallace pretty much “sealed the deal” for me as far as Fox. There was really nowhere else to turn on election nite 2020 (or so I thought) and what transpired that nite was disturbing.

Not sure what Fox’s game plan is. But I too can say “good riddance”!

  4. Hannity is an utter moron. His radio ratings are dropping now, too, and I think there are a couple of reasons for it. First – people have gotten tired of the “Oh, we are really gonna get them now, the indictments come out tomorrow” schtick. Second – Hannity only babbles a few catch phrases now, overandoverandover. For instance….

    Quid Pro Joe
    Media Mob
    Zero Experience Hunter
Bought and paid for dirty dossier

Repeat a hundred times. Now you’ve just heard an episode of the Sean Hannity Show.

But I think that for most of us, the moment when we broke from Fox was when they made an obviously premature call on Arizona on election night, and showed that they were all-in on the steal.

    1. Don’t forget, it is always about Sean. Sean has these guns, Sean is a martial arts expert, Sean has this house, Sean lives in this high end neighborhood, Sean does this and that, Sean is the greatest. Nauseating.

    2. Yes, the AZ call was the breaking point, and their pathetic attempts at explaining it.
Edited Fox off my DVR with two exceptions: Levin and Carlson, and Carlson was put into my DVR before his initial show was half-way through, so for that reason he’s still there.

  5. Foxnews was showing bias in late 2015. I will not watch them anymore. We do not have any news source anymore. Maybe overseas news sources might be in biased.

I pray we get trump on 6 January 2021 but it is not looking good

  6. Cut the cord more than a decade ago; encourage everyone to do the same. All the cool kids are doing it…

    1. My wife and I cut the cord 2-1/2 years ago and don’t regret it one bit. We had Amazon Prime because it helped me save a bundle on books when I went back to school. We use the non jail broke Fire Stick with lots of free applications and channels and such. We have Netflix, Hulu and got a deal on My Outdoor TV. We watch reruns of older shows and binge watch something together.

The My Outdoor TV has fishing, hunting, shooting and outdoor geared programming. The shooting content includes Jim Scoutten’s Shooting USA and alot of content from the publisher of Guns Magazine.

Newsmax is a free download. I watched them since early November. I’d watch it more often but it got repetitive with the election BS. I’d like them to report on something other than that subject. Surely something else is happening around the world. OAN looks to be a subscription that I think might get as cheap as $30/year. I might do that.

ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and the print propaganda lost me years ago. The newspapers are all AP stories and very little real news.

When Megyn Kelly left Fox and she turned anti conservative and anti Trump I figured that the news readers have the opinion that is on their teleprompters and that’s it. The rest can go pound sand too.

      1. Megyn Kelly couldn’t be more right wing or pro Trump. Well, maybe not PRO Trump, but she voted for Donnie Douchebag all the same. This yr anyway, can’t speak for 2016.

      2. Everyone needs to drop Netflix. They’ve got a “short eyes” problem. They’ve had several movies over the last few years telling the “needed stories” of “young people embracing their sexuality” on the screen. “Cuties” is just the last most famous of this trend (I read a comment that there’s an even newer one this month, but I can’t find it now, and I made no note of it because we’re off it.)

  7. Highly recommend trying Newsmax.com
If you dont have them on your cable you can watch them fom pc, phone whatever.
They stream from their website for zero cost. No joining, no contracts no nothing. Their evening shows are what are killing the Fox lineup. The wife and I are hooked on Greg Kelly at 7pm eastern. He is unabashedly pro Trump, conservative and tradional. Is a Lt Col in Marine Corp. flew harrier jets.

  8. get woke, go broke. I hope Fox grabs that red hot stove burner good and hard. Learn that lesson so that it gets burned into them and they have a constant reminder.

    1. I didn’t know and don’t particularly care what Hannity does.

I used to listen to some of the conservative talk shows but a lot of them just sound so angry all the time. Prager sound pretty calm while he’s talking. I listen to podcasts of American Conservative Union which gives a variety of conservative shows.

  9. Fox was never more than a news business catering to a woefully underserved audience.

What they’ve done is give up that market for a smaller one with tons of competition. An asinine business decision if there ever were one.

What I think is funny is that for all the progs loathing of Fox, they don’t seem to grasp that there is that enormous population, manifested by Fox’s former audience, that pretty much hates their guts and is sick of listening to their crap.
