Reminded by one of the anecdotes in the Memoirs. I know, it’s kinda poppy, but still. And I can’t control the earworms, as any fule kno.
Besides, Suzi Q:

And even though she’s a granny or something today:

…still would.

All hail Leather Tuscadero!
Eeew.
Yeah. Nope, not now.
Seeing that pic reminds me of an interview with Grace Slick where she was talking about retiring. I think her quote was “I don’t wanna see old people up on stage”
I saw an image if Chrissy Hynde in stage in a whacky old lady frilly blouse. Looked like a mawmaw up on stage.
Now there’s a blast from the past!
I went through a phase where I listened to a LOT of Suzi Quatro. Many people write her off as a lightweight (I had a radio DJ hang up on me once when I called in asking for them to play some Suzi) but she’s definitely gone the distance. In looking up her discography to refresh my memory of her songs I discovered she’s been at it for over 50 years and released her 18th album just this year!
“Stumblin’ In” was never one of my favorites but now I’m going to have to queue up some stuff. Hope I can find “Mamas Boy” and “Your Mama Won’t Like Me” somewhere.
