“Bannings”

Ran into this little A.I. video SOTI, and while none of it concerns me — yet — I think there are a couple of things worth noting.

The “12 Guns Being Banned in 2026” are interesting, although none of them fall within my “I Want This Thing In My Gun Safe” parameters, mostly because they are chambered in calibers that don’t interest me (although that new Zastava M70…hmmm), too expensive (e.g. Daniel Defense) or else I’m just not interested in that type of gun (e.g. Tavor 12ga multi-tube shotgun).

However, what does interest me is that the GFW state legislators — all the usual suspects, plus Vermont (!!! WTF?) — have decided that if they can’t ban a gun just because it’s a gun, they’re going to ban it because it’s “military-specific” (like that matters), “common sporting purposes” (ditto), “concealable” (ditto) or, more worryingly, because of various features that they don’t like.  In other words, the guns are becoming too efficient and reliable, and only the military should have access to these features (again, bullshit, but it’s what they’re running with).

It’s a long video and both boring and/or irritating (#A.I.narration), but like I said, what it reveals is the ways with which the GFWs are targeting guns.  And my Virginia Readers should pay special attention because that’s the direction your state is heading if it’s not there already (ditto Colorado, a.k.a. Eastern California).

Of course, the Second Amendment Foundation will get involved at some point, and maybe a few of these abuses will reach the Supreme Court to have their pee-pees whacked;  but that’s leaving our fate in the hands of lawyers, which is always a risky proposition.

However, there may come a time when some guy (or guys) will get sick of all this bullshit and say “Come and get them” to which the state will reply “Challenge accepted” and the whole thing will end in tears.  I should point out that this is precisely the outcome these totalitarian bastards are hoping for.

Be careful out there, buy more ammo, and practice a lot.  And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the range.

Afterthought:  I think it’s time I should look at one of those FRT (forced recoil trigger) thingies, just because I suspect that they will soon be a definite target for the GFWs.  Which is why I should get one, most probably for the FrankenPoodleShooter.

Likewise, as soon as I can buy a moderator (“silencer”) over the counter without paperwork, that too will be added to the above.  Not because I especially want one, but because they don’t want me to have one.

It is here in Virginia. That lying ex CIA Commie Cunt Spamberger already signed some of those unconstitutional bills and actually amended some others, making them even worse, all the while saying she supports the 2nd Amendment.
Her most egregious change was removing the grandfather clause for possession of any and all guns – rifles and pistols – deemed assault weapons. That covers most 9mm pistols and all AR-15 type rifles. She also banned the possession and sale of any magazines over 15 round capacity. Hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of Virginians who own a previously legal firearm, purchased and used lawfully, will become subject to a year in prison and a fine of $2,500, each count, and loss of 2nd amendment rights as of July 1, 2026.
There is also a bill that that removed Virginia CCL reciprocity for other states, so no doubt the other states will do the same to Virginia licensees.
The fucking Dems also modified gun-free location descriptions and boundaries in a way that makes it difficult to know what they are and where those boundaries are, using vague terminology like “public place” such that it is highly risky to CC without risk of being arrested and losing your rights.
The DOJ sent Commie Cunt a warning letter expressing concern that most of these ~ 15 new anti-gun laws are unconstitutional, but she signed and amended them just the same.
So, what shall we do between July 1 and the maybe years before we get relief via the DOJ or the namby-pamby Roberts SCOTUS?
I for one am praying that the cocksuckers who wrote and voted for this execrable shit are robbed, beaten or raped in a gun free zone.

    1. SCOTUS is no savior.
Remember when SCOTUS issued the NY State Rifle and Pistol Association v Bruen decision and NY state promptly wrote “The Same Laws, Only Harder”?

Other states took due notice and started passing new laws which the gungrabbers know will take years to be decided, IF SCOTUS takes up the case.

And even if the 2A people “win” it will just be “Lather, Rinse, Repeat.”

  2. I also would like to buy a moderator when possible, but only so I can plink with my .22 without the need for hearing protection. Plus it’s the only rifle I have with a threaded barrel. There’s absolutely no good reason why we shouldn’t be able to buy those, in bulk, any time day or night, without paying the govt $200 or more for the fucking privilege.

  3. SOS, DD.

First jumped into this fight back around 1995 when it started in Kalifornia. I actually registered one of my AR’s that I figured I might be seen in public with, mainly as a hedge to buy time if things went pear shaped. I keep a copy on the wall out in the man cave just as a reminder.

    From the video:
“…rights engraved in stone”. No. Granted by our creator, engraved in blood and lead.
“…being re-classified…”. Because we are the WESAYSO .gov.

  4. Kim,
Once you try a silencer on the poodle shooter it’s likely you’ll always want one there.
It wont make it as quiet as in the movies, but it does reduce the noise quite a bit.
The odds that you’ll be able to get hearing protection on before firing in a “social work” situation is low, and not being deafened is going to help quite a lot with maintaining situational awareness. Especially if you’ve just touched it off indoors.
It also greatly reduces flash, or dust kicked up if you’re shooting prone.

Hope you don’t mind my suggesting this but something like a Ruger 10/22 with a scope, silencer, and larger magazine (say 25 rnds, or even 50/70/100 drums if you can find a reliable one) could be of great use in keeping a violent crowd back in some cases, the Izzies have used them to good effect. It’s a shame AMD-180’s aren’t readily available off the shelf at the local hardware store, but we have to work with what we can get.
