The Episcopal Church has announced it will end its decades-old partnership with the government to resettle refugees, citing moral opposition to resettling white Afrikaners from South Africa who have been classified as refugees by the Trump admin.
Don’t bother yourselves about it.
Afrikaners, in general, belong to the ultra-Calvinist Dutch Reformed Church and absolutely loathe the Church of England, a little because of that “England” bit (#BoerWar), but mostly because the CofE / Episcopalians have over the years become a bunch of screaming Commies.
So thanks but no thanks, Episcopals.
I don’t know where the newly-arrived Dutchies will choose to go to church, but it would be interesting to see what they decide.
And just to be clear, the American version of the DRC (Reform Church of America) can stop licking their lips at the thought of new members, because even they will be regarded as hopelessly liberal by the Afrikaners.

There is a fiction that the Vatican is a foreign state, and the Pope is head of state.
It’s the same security provided to all world leaders, regardless how criminal or heinous they may be.
It wouldn’t reflect well on the U.S. if foreign diplomats were gunned down in the street. No matter how deserving.
Former Episcopalian, current Catholic here. Baptised into the ECUSA in my 30s after being raised nothing, swam the Tiber almost five years ago.
I was fortunate during my time at the ECUSA to find pastors who resisted the BS the leadership was shovelling, but I left when that became impossible. I have a family member who was part of the lay-leadership in the ECUSA at both parish and diocese level. The bishop said that all white people in leadership positions had to issue a statemtent that they are racist and expressing repentance for their racism. He and his wife told them to perform an anatomically improbable act of self copulation before decending to the infernal regions. A lot.

There are some conservative reformed churches around. One of my daughters went to a school associated with one when I lived somewhere that didn’t have a Lutheran school available – amd it was fine.
Of course if they don’t mind letting go of double predestination they can pick a conservative Lutheran church pretty readily (Missouri or Wisconsin synod – ELCA is garbage).
They have made it clear that for them, “racial justice” requires the murder of white farmers.
If they are looking for churches, they can look to the PCA or OPC.
