Outnumbered

I’ve always enjoyed actor Matt Damon’s work, whether in the Rounders-type suspense roles, the execrable Bourne series or even the caper string of Ocean’s 11.  And yes, I loved Good Will Hunting.  (A full list of his 100-odd acting roles is available here.)

With that many movies, our boy would be expected to be away from home a great deal, but clearly he makes up for lost time when he is home, having fathered a lorra lorra kids with his super-hot Argentinian wife.  Nothing wrong there, either.

However, I recently saw this pic of Matt and his family:

…and to be honest, while it certainly is a fine collection of ladies, I can’t help but wonder at the gender imbalance.  I mean, I have to think that there’s some menstrual “syncing” here — which is probably why the man is away from home on location a lot.

Just a guess.

Out Of His League

…in so many ways.  That little dwarf African Muslim Commie, Hizzoner NYC Mayor Mamdani is playing reindeer games again, this time with the Vienna Convention of 1961:

New York City (NYC) Mayor Zohran Mamdani shared that he is considering directing the New York Police Department to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in September, describing him as a “war criminal.”

I want to see him try.  I want so badly to see him try.  I can see it now:  Israeli Mossad bodyguards mixing it up with New York’s Finest.

Some senior diplomat — I’m thinking SecState Marco Rubio — should summon this self-important asshole to his office and read him the Riot Act.

And if Mamdani still insists on going down this road, I’m pretty sure that he can be arrested.  Which would be fun.

Afterword:  It seems that DJT has now waded into the fray.

Captain Obvious Pays A Visit

Apparently, there is a strange antipathy to Marxism in one particular part of the country.  And some Democrat bint has just found that out:

Florida Democrat Party Chair Nikki Fried admitted that socialism is not selling as easily in Florida — home to many people who escaped communist or socialist regimes.

“You know, we have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people that call Florida home, that left communists and socialists and authoritarian regimes to find a better way of life here in the state of Florida,” Fried said.

So the people who actually had to live under Communism don’t want to repeat the exercise in their adopted country… who knew?

Going Down

Via Insty:

Nice to know.  Meanwhile in Texas:

I have to say, though, that this year hasn’t seen too many 100+ days here in north Texas, although it’s still only late July.  [voiceover:  “But August was still to come.”]

Chewsday Challenge

I’ll let Reader GT3Ted set the scene for this challenge:

Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to wake up tomorrow having somehow won the current Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot, there would suddenly be a very interesting problem to solve.
After taxes, there might still be something in the neighborhood of half a billion dollars sitting around, and leaving that much cash idle seems almost irresponsible. Naturally, the search would begin for additional places to park the money.
    • You already bought a 10,000 acre cattle ranch in Montana
    • 25 sections of Corn and Wheat land in Kansas and Nebraska
    • A Smaller 9,000 sq ft place in Telluride (Aspen is sooo last Year)
But you are still missing a good car collection.
Not to worry,   Next month is Monterey Car week and Sotheby’s is selling some of the World’s best Car Collections  (including multiple Pebble Beach Best of Show Winners).

The challenge:  pick any three cars out of the offerings.  You can give as reasons any criteria you wish (longtime dream, a gift for a very good buddy / your heir, investment, whatever).

For the terminally picky and querulous, remember that your bank account can easily handle both the cost of purchase plus any maintenance charges — it’s a rounding error, in both cases — so go ahead and indulge yourself.  Still on that topic: assume that you’re already bought yourself your dream SUV / pickup / Toyota for an everyday driver;  these three would be pure indulgence.

That said (and Ted will agree with me here), the reason that I picked three cars and not one is that any any given time, at least one and quite possibly two of the cars will be in the shop for repairs, so three is a prudent number.

My three choices are below the fold, listed in no particular order because I drool over all of them equally:
