I’ll disagree. The First amendment is a limitation on government; it doesn’t “grant” any rights. It explicitly says that on certain subjects, “Congress shall make no law:’ establishment of religion, it’s free exercise, speech, press, and the right to peaceably assemble. There is no delineation as to whom the rights belong, because the rights are presumed to exist; they exist because we are human beings. See the Declaration, i.e. “All men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. . .”
So, yes, because aliens are persons, they have those inalienable rights too. So do Muslims. Whether Islam is in fact compatible with democracy as practiced in the West is another matter; that same First Amendment would bar Islam being a mandated religion, or Islam imposing its practices on others.
Of course, Islamists who attempt to do so by force are also in violation of the law, and should be aggressively prosecuted and if non-citizens, deported.
BTW – the same analysis would apply to the 2nd Amendment as well, for the same reasons. The Bill of Rights is not a grant of rights by the government to the people, it is a limitation on government BY the people.

Thanks, but I’ll take the Founders’ words at face value over the internet any day, and twice on Sunday.
The writers spent months debating the terms used. They were educated men, who understood the nature of words, and the import of what they were writing. They said what they said, and they meant what they said, and they understood what they said. If you disagree with it 240 or so years later, I suggest you draw up an amendment and run it by Congress and/or the States for submission and ratification.
The original Constitution used both the terms “citizen” and “person.” They used both in different times and places. For example, the census counted “persons,” for purposes of apportioning representatives in Congress, and yet in the same section, required a Representative in the House to be 7 years a “citizen.” (Art. I, Sec. 2). There is a difference, and they understood the difference. The use of those terms was not accidental. Art. 1, Sect. 8 also granted Congress the authority to regulate naturalization, so they clearly knew the difference between “citizens” and “persons.”
Persons have inalienable rights. Citizens have political rights. Those two things overlap, but there is a difference.
