Here’s one that perked me up and made my morning brighter:
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent shot and killed a woman on Wednesday who allegedly attempted to run over law enforcement with her vehicle amid immigration enforcement conducting a crackdown in Minneapolis.
Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said that the woman was shot in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis.
The woman in a Honda Pilot SUV appeared to be blocking the road in front of an ICE squad. As agents approached the woman, she backed up and pulled forward. While pulling forward, an ICE agent in front of the vehicle pulled his service weapon. The agent fired at least one shot into the vehicle as he sidestepped the moving SUV. The vehicle then crashed into a parked car.
Good. I’m sick of these assholes screwing around with ICE, and this was made all the sweeter by the fact that it took place in the People’s Soviet of Minnesoduh, which explains the reaction from local politicians:
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said regarding DHS’s explanation of the shooting, “So they are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video … myself, I want to tell everybody directly that is bullshit.”
He added that he feels “this was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying.”
“We have been in contact with law enforcement leaders, the Attorney General, and the Governor’s Office throughout the morning and are pushing hard for a local investigation which is the only way to ensure full transparency and review by our office. We will use every available lever to ensure a local, transparent investigation takes place,” Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a statement, FOX 9 reported.
Frey posted on X, “I am aware of a shooting involving an ICE agent at 34th Street & Portland. The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city. We’re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities.”

Of course, if our hero ICE agent were to be treated in the same way that career criminals are ordinarily treated by Moriarty, he’d be released within minutes. As it is…
I want ICE to go into this festering cesspit of a city harder and yet harder, in greater numbers and with even greater resolve. And if the “residents” get out of control such as happened in this instance, I want to see more gunfire. Let’s see if these criminal supporters [sic] feel that strongly about their case then.

For added context, the woman’s wife had apparently been in the car, but she got out to get video of the confrontation. So we know they planned to cause trouble.
Also, the ICE agent who fired the shot had been hospitalized last year when he was hit and dragged by another car (driven by an illegal immigrant.) So we can imagine that he would have felt threatened when she tried to do the same.
Cleanest shoot ever. Yes, I feel sorry for her kids. For all kinds of reasons.

If all that is wrong with the vehicle is bullet holes in the windshield and some blood on the seats, that can be fixed for cheap.

2 – This was expected, with the Dem pols labeling ICE as the new Gestapo. Yes, ICE is responsible for causing trouble by enforcing the law, certainly not the pols who let the situation fester.
The late “victim’s” occupation was “poet.” That doesn’t pay very well even if one can find employment, so she was obviously one of those latter day hippies, who in their own tiny warped minds, way overstate their value to society and search endlessly to no avail for validation of their self-image. The MSM and other Leftist Usual Suspects has made a big deal out of “poor, poor Renee was a mother of three children, boo hoo,” but the fact that her divorced husband won custody of the children in their divorce when judges usually award custody to the mother tells what kind of mother she was.
She and her “wife” were so overwhelmed by tertiary TDS, they headed for Canada, and when they got to Minneapolis along the way, they found out there was gold in them there streets, professional protesters’ gold, and a welcoming subculture of fraud and professional victimhood. They signed on as paid protestors, reveling in their new-found acceptance, and our “victim” enthusiastically took a leadership role in local protest riots, and having got away with being a professional asshole for so long, made a major error in judgement when she thought she could use her car as a deadly weapon (thinking, no doubt, it’s not an evil gun, I’m immune) and got her addled brains scrambled further. Good riddance.
I feel sorry only for the ICE agent who shot her. This episode will affect him negatively now and forever.

ICE agent here was completely justified in the shot. ICE is well within its authority to go in there and clean up things, and candidly the bullshit has gone on so long that we’re probably past the “diet & exercise” way to clean this immigration disease up. So all of the remediation steps are going to look harsh.
Given the above, I don’t have an answer to what I am about to post, I’m just going to post it:
I have a big concern about the increasingly militant stance taken my law-enforcement agencies overall. In the above case it’s clearly justified, but I’ve seen it cascade into agencies that aren’t doing front-line stuff like ICE, but wanna look like tough guys.
I voted for DJT, and if there was a Youtube channel of Commies/leftists getting shot, beaten, thrown out of helicopters, I would gleefully subscribe to it.
But I guess I’m old enough to see how this is going to bleed into the actions of the ATF, or the USFS, or the EPA, or the IRS. We in the 2A community saw it happen to Vicki Weaver who was shot with impunity because….well she was.
Inspite of all the shrieking, leftists are overjoyed with this outcome. Its the Putsch principle, if ICE backs down, they’re weak, if ICE ramps up, it leads to an increasing of thuggishness in various agencies that if they can get control of, will absolutely be used against people of my ilk.
I dunno. I think once things get “Kinetic” its going to be hard to roll this back, if you can at all.
