It’s not ironic, really. The unarmed will always be at the mercy of the armed criminal, and the Left is quite okay with that as long as they themselves are protected.
It’s as true for nations as it is with individuals.
They don’t want you armed because you’d naturally want to retaliate against them while they destroy your life in a free country. It has nothing to do with with safety of those innocent people who won’t take responsibility to defend themselves. Everyone needs their own tactical nuke.
