Wait, What?

From the Monday Funnies, a couple weeks back:

And today:

The Senate Finance Committee’s version of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill contains the removal of suppressors and short-barreled rifles from the National Firearms Act (NFA).

On May 22, 2025, Breitbart News reported the GOP-led House passed budget reconciliation, Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, with language to eliminate the tax and registration requirement on suppressors.

Are these guys visiting my website?

Expect to see an explosion in sales of guns with threaded barrels….

  1. The 200 was when was a NFA device. The new big bill stops that, so they should be cheap.

  2. There are a few people saying that the new found freedom will come with some very unpopular riders in the BBbill.
I haven’t read the thing, but wouldn’t trust the politicians to not put in something detrimental that they couldn’t get otherwise.

  3. T’hell with that. Repeal the NFA. It’s a flat out unconstitutional act, and thereby, not a law.

Sure. I hear all the statists’ BS arguments: “The government has an interest in… ” and blah-blah-blah. The government’s sole interest is in securing and defending the rights of the PEOPLE. Period. End of debate.

First flush on the bill’s passage should have come from all and sundry, but most particularly, the People, their representatives, and those charged with enforcing the law (of which, the Constitution is SUPREME), “You don’t have the authority to do that, fuck off — over there — and don’t come back.
