  1. My favorite Brian Wilson song is ” In my Room” ……. which was an early indication of the depression that Brian suffered from his whole life.

    …….. and “Sloop John B” was not a Beach Boy’s original unlike most of their other music that Brian wrote. It’s an old Bahamian folk song. Kingston Trio did it before the Beach Boys

    1. Don’t care. That was the first Beach Boys song I ever heard, and I loved them ever thereafter.

  2. I like many of the songs performed or made famous by the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson. They were a very talented group. I have a playlist on my phone of bubblegum rock that I usually listen to in the summer. Something light and fun to listen to in the sun.

  3. We share a love for Sloop John B. In fact there’s not a Beach Boys song that I hate. John B is probably my favorite.

  5. I was 13 when “Good Vibrations” came out, I heard it on my aunts transistor radio. Up to that point I didn’t pay much attention to music, my dad only listen to country and controlled the car radio. My aunt had better taste so The Beach Boys opened the doors to so much more. Thanks Dorothy.
