Here’s a good one (via Insty, thankee Squire):
The Washington Post is planning to let amateur writers submit columns — with the help of AI
Well, I’m pretty much an “amateur writer”, but I guess my invitation to participate in said exercise got lost in the mail or something. Still, I’m ready to pitch in.
And I won’t even need A.I.
However, I will need to do some preparation beforehand, so my Readers are welcome to suggest which topics they’d like to see me cover in the WashPo, in my usual style and manner.
Didn’t they publish Steven Den Beste once? He needed no AI.
If you want to give them an aneurism, offer Let Africa Sink.
Hear hear. Lefty heads explode.
I second the Let Africa Sink motion, with enthusiasm.
I’ll hear the DC Leftist and Racist heads exploding all the way down in Richmond Virginia.
” let amateur writers submit columns ” – Translation: They aren’t paying anyone for these columns.
WAPO will “no longer publish opinion articles that go against “free speech and free markets,” ”
— Bezos still get final say over what gets published — Don’t hold your breath waiting for your opinions to show up.
I’m surprised that the Kock Brothers or some other well off Republican/conservative hasn’t bought one of these failing newspapers and turned it around by offering news and analysis with a conservative viewpoint. I guess there’s slightly conservative Fox News, One America Network, Newsmax, talk radio and some online presence like Daily Wire, Brietbart and Blaze media. I just find many of their subscriptions too high.
