You all remember that POTUS Trump signed an Executive Order which offered asylum to those South African farmers under threat of property confiscation (and worse) at the hands of the terrorist organization ANC. Here’s a reminder, and then an interesting response from a representative of said farmers:
In your order, you made special provisions for Afrikaners to be given opportunities in the United States. We sincerely appreciate this, as many farmers in South Africa face dire circumstances—threats of land expropriation, increasing rural crime, and discriminatory access to financing and other critical resources. For some, the opportunity you have extended may be their only viable path forward.
That said, as a fundamental patriot yourself, you will understand our commitment to stay and fight for our home. Africa is in our blood, and despite the challenges, the vast majority of us have chosen to struggle within the ambit of our constitution.
We are also grateful for the programs that have allowed over 100,000 young South Africans to work on American farms, gaining valuable skills, exposure to advanced agricultural technologies, and a financial foundation to launch their own careers in the agricultural value chains back home.
Please do not close that door. These opportunities inspire and equip our young people and are not available for them in South Africa. It give them a launching pad for their livelihoods when they return from the USA. We are not asking for any young South Africans to be excluded – for us it is enough to be included on merit.
And then he goes on to describe the problem, in detail. It’s worth a read, I promise you.
I invite you to imagine how this letter would have been received by a Democrat administration of the Obama/Biden sort.
I hope they can fix their country but I believe it will be beyond an uphill task.
The Donald is very familar with this kind of situation..
To bad there is no hope that SA will ever get a ethical leader to run the country.
You can’t vote your way out of this situation is the often repeated canard.but,
I find it amazing that the USA sems to have started to do it but we shall see how long it lasts.
Per Statista, 9.4% of South Africans are White (https://www.statista.com/statistics/1116076/total-population-of-south-africa-by-population-group/).
If there’s any significant portion of the black population that wants to defend the lives and rights of White South Africans, I’m unaware of it.
I understand the desire to fight for one’s homeland. I also understand that you don’t win wars by dying for your country, you win by making the other guy die for his, and when the odds are overwhelmingly against you then discretion becomes the better part of valor.
Best of luck to them, but they’d be better off cutting their losses, moving to the US, and laughing as the now White-free SA turns into Zimbabwe del Sud.
Oh, Jesus Christ, fuck that guy. Here, Trump is offering you and yours (meaning the SA farmers) a LITERAL lifeline. THE BLACKS IN SOUTH AFRICA ARE EVENTUALLY GOING TO KILL ALL THE WHITES. But not until they have dispossessed them of all their land, enslaved them, and tortured them.
And this cocksucker’s first response is, “But wait, don’t forget about our black brothers, please, we Whites are not worthy of individual consideration!” Fuck him and anyone who thinks like him. I do hope that a large number of SA Whites take Trump up on his offer. It would be nice to have some actual refugees from tyranny for a change, and the fact that they could be positive contributors to the United States would be a refreshing change of pace.
But that cucked assbag? Leave his ass there. We don’t need any more here who think like him.
It must be terribly hard to leave your home, receiving nothing for land your family has nurtured and farmed for generations, and migrate without much more than a suitcase to a new land and start over from zero. Given the history of blacks running things in sub-Saharan Africa and the virulently racist attitudes of the PTB in South Africa, sooner or later the whites will lose their farms to racial appropriation, bringing them to the same financial nothing they’d have by leaving, but, a big but, there’s a good chance they’ll also lose their lives if they stay and wait for the inevitable. Even those that manage to hold on for a while by organization, by force of arms, bribes or political connections will eventually be overwhelmed and killed for whatever they have when the starving time comes; and it will come. They only need look to the north to see their future.
That guy’s letter sounds very noble, but it is a death wish.
If the white farmers love their families, they should jump on Trump’s offer and GTFO.
that’s essentially how most of our ancestors came over. Not seeing the problem here. Either suck it up and protect/provide for your family or stay behind and die. My great-great-great whatever came over on the boat with not much more than a suitcase and a work ethic.
Beyond the Dutch landing, and making something with the land, the few noted tribes of blacks in the area during the 1650s was marginal – it was dry, rough terrain, that would take effort to be fruitful.
The Dutch did it, up until the early 1800s, when the Brits wanted it.
Now, its been (or being) rid of the evil whytie, to allow the poor, downtrodden heirs of the land to take ownership. The rub is, they know nothing of farming, industry, nor how to maintain a civilization. Its a bad recipe for pain, hardships, and death of a once important area of the dark continent.
Bravo – you’ve now made a future humanitarian crisis that will rival every weather or natural calamity of the past, clammering for our help for their self-inflicted wounding.
The whites stole the land from the Africans. To make matters worse they stole the part with the successful farms, reliable infrastructure, and an educated population. The ANC is here to fix that.
My family is in Ag. My Bro was explaining something to me that made me realize that east is east and west is west (or Africa is Africa) and never the twain shall meet.
When the land expropriation was getting started several years ago, some reporter asked some sa.gov official why they were expropriating the land (without compensation):
.Gov official: “Because its legal”
Reporter: “But you’re stealing their property”
.Gov official: “No, no, no it’s not stealing it, we passed a law saying we could do it”
Reporter: “But you’re taking something from someone without paying for it.”
.Gov official: “we passed a law that we could do this, so its ok that we are doing it”
ad infinitum.
Sloth and heathen folly indeed.
I believe it is time for Atlas to shrug in South Africa
To quote Josey Wales, ” Dyin’ ain’t much of a livin’.”
