I attended a middle school which had Patrick Simmon’s father as the principal at the time.
Also, The Doobies reformed in the late 1980’s (post Michael McDonald), and I witnessed the free concert they did in downtown San Jose, CA near San Jose State University. They were followed by the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
Damn – at freaking 70, Michael McDonald still has the pipes. He might want to consider backing away from the table though…
