  1. Ignorance and/or dishonesty is behind every call to disarm citizens.
The level of lying in this country now is at an all time high and absolutely nothing can be relied on outright as the truth.

  2. I copy and paste this on Fb when gun thieves get mouthy

    Share as you like

This is a great start to minimizing murders

    You want compromise?

    1) end all gun free zones. Clearly these areas enable murderers and hinder citizens from adequate self defense.

    2) make all carry licenses reciprocal. One states drivers license is recognized by every other state. The same policy should be in place for our Second amendment rights.

    3) end bans on magazine capacity. Criminals break this law and this law only hinders the honest citizen. These restrictions are arbitrary and pointless. The first cartridge can be misused just as easily as the one hundredth.

    4) end waiting periods. In this day and age with computer databases approval for a firearm purchase or a permit shouldn’t take more than an hour.

    5) teach the Eddie eagle safety program in every school. Look up the program.

    6) end all bans on scary looking rifles. Hoplophobes can’t articulate why one rifle is banned while another isn’t and criminals ignore these laws anyway. These laws are absurd, ineffective at reducing crime and solely harm the law abiding citizen.

    7) prosecute those who engage in illicit gun sales by lying on the 4473 form. These are the straw purchases etc. throw these folks in prison. Lose the key for 5 years.

8)double all sentences for all crimes when a firearm is used.

    9) strengthen stand your ground and other self defense laws to prohibit costly and frivolous lawsuits

You agree to those 9 items then we’ll talk about compromise. These items bring us back before hoplophobes wet their pants and demanded ineffective restrictions of firearm ownership.

If you can’t responsibly handle the right to keep and bear arms, then you have no place lecturing those of us who do.

    1. One more for that list:

      10) Repeal the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, and all amendments to said laws in the years since.

      1. oh definitely that NFA of 1934 has to go, GCA 1968 as well, whatever Reagan passed in 86 is ripe for the ash heap.

I’d like the SN requirement in the GCA 68 to remain because it helps determine when a collectible firearm was made. I doubt there is much in that law that is actually useful.

  3. #4 – waiting periods……Insist, as a point of law, that no call for a background check can be left “On Hold” for more than 30-seconds, either in the initial dialing/answer sequence, or at any time until conclusion. Too many jurisdictions, during our recent troubles, just stopped answering the phone in a reasonable length of time; and then insisted that we (FFL’s) should use alternative means to provide the required information – means that added days, not minutes or hours, to the process.

    1. they’ll just have the phone answered by a machine to circumvent the answer within 30 seconds requirement.
