Wrong Address

From Insty, I see this little bit of villainy:

According to recent reports, the FBI has been conducting raids on Trump allies, executing search warrants on their homes, and issuing subpoenas to individuals as part of a pressure campaign.

But, now it looks like they’re not limiting themselves to Trump allies, but they’re even targeting Trump supporters who did nothing wrong.

Lisa Gallagher, a Trump voter in New Jersey, has come forward with the claim that the FBI visited her home the morning after Joe Biden’s fascistic speech at Independence Hall in which he declared Trump supporters to be enemies of our democracy.

Gallagher didn’t work in the Trump White House, nor was she present at the Capitol riot, yet she somehow ended up in the Biden administration’s crosshairs. She told her story to Tucker Carlson on Monday evening.

“I was terrified. I’ll be honest with you, when my daughter woke me up telling me there were three armed FBI officers at my door, I thought she was joking,” she told Carlson. “And I immediately tried to throw clothes on. I called my husband. I was crying. My knees were shaking. And even though I knew I had done nothing wrong, after seeing Joe Biden’s speech the night before I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is political.’ And I was frightened. I truly thought they can take me out of here in handcuffs.”

I almost wish they’d come to my door instead of some frightened woman.  And you can take that how you wish.

  1. Install NO TRESPASSING signs in front of your house and a driveway alarm and an intercom speaker at your front door.

You may be required to defend yourself with weapons.
Seems most people cannot get their head around that notion.
I struggle with it constantly, and I hope that when that time comes I do what is right.

    1. police on what they deem legitimate business (which means anything they want it to mean) can ignore those signs and knock on your door any time of day or night.
Or simply kick the door in if you don’t answer, and “qualified immunity” will protect them.

Welcome to the reality of modern life, rather than the theory.

      1. “…simply kick the door in…”
        ======
Any kicked in door should be met with a hail of shrapnel.

We can argue the morality of methods all day long but we all know what it takes to curb criminal behavior.

We also know that this criminal behavior is escalating each day so it is only a matter of time before people start to realize the reality of what needs done.

I’m trying to stay low until that time.

    2. I would recommend a recording device by the front door to detect any muttered “open up, police!”
      that they might claim later.

  2. Off topic:
I have a problem with the phrase “…at the Capitol riot…”.
From everyone I hear and everything I see, that was a very peaceful gathering.
    .
I think that peaceful gathering falls far short of qualifying as a mere ‘demonstration’.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, my definition of ‘riot’ includes rioters burning and looting their community.
    .
    I welcome your rebuttal.

    1. It was certainly more “mostly peaceful” than any BLM/ Antifa masked blackshirt operation conducted in 2020. Where were the burned buildings? The dead non-participants? where was the John Brown-level shooting by the insurrectionists?

  3. I would think someone from Jersey would know that it takes very little extra effort to dig a hole a little deeper for three vs 1 or 2….
