It would be difficult to find a more staunch supporter of Eretz Israel than I am. But here’s a pro tip for all politicians — and in this case, especially for The Donald:
Disaster aid is not a fucking bargaining chip.
When a flood strikes a small town in Tennessee or Arkansas, the very last thing that these wretched people should have to think about as they’re sitting on their rooftop about is their state government’s attitude towards a country on the other side of the Earth.
This was a moron move, reflected by how quickly the idea was reversed.
And as for POTUS: start thinking before you open your yap. We did not elect you to do this kind of bullshit. America first; all other countries (including Israel) can fall second, or third, or fourth.

Agreed. I was significantly disappointed when Mr. Trump mentioned he was making disaster relief for the LA fires contingent on supporting his illegal immigration policies. While I am all for deporting everyone here illegally, you don’t make disaster relief contingent on supporting an unrelated policy.
Now he also wanted to make sane fire abatement policies contingent on such relief, and that makes sense. Why should we repeatedly fix your state up when you keep doing things that demonstrably make the problem worse? But making it contingent on something unrelated? Nope wrong.
yeah. Then again he was effectively reciprocating on the Biden administration doing the exact same thing last year.
Doesn’t make it right, but I understand many peoples’ glee when the leftists reaped what they had sown.
Trump isn’t perfect but as long as he keeps cutting money from liberal assholes in education and other public bullshit waste of tax money like PBS I’m on board with him.
I would however like to see him address releasing whatever files are available on Epstein and also make national carry reciprocity happen while the RINO’s have slight majority.
Probably just a talking point for him but I would also like to see income tax go away too.
Disaster relief is just another name for theft.

Trump has that strong knee-jerk response to things that tweak him. And most of the time the knee-jerk response is not just wrong, but very wrong. And quite often directed at an ally or supporter rather than an enemy. That is one of the biggest negatives he has in my opinion. However I voted for him knowing that fact. (Biden also has an incredible mean streak but the press conveniently covered that up).
I used to work for a boss that was like that too. In some cases I deliberately did stuff to trigger that knee-jerk response just because I’m an asshole. It’s an unfortunate characteristic far too common in people.
