My alma mater has made the news:
St John’s College in Johannesburg has built a reputation as one of South Africa’s leading boys’ schools, producing pupils who get accepted into top universities in South Africa and around the world, including Harvard University in the United States.
However, I’m still a little peeved that the College outlawed caning punishment back in the 1990s, even though that meant that my record total (124 strokes) will never be surpassed.
if caning was reinstated, I would buy a shit ton of stock in canes and first aid salve. The little shitlings at government schools are in dire need of discipline and learning consequences for their actions. Many of the alleged teachers need it too!
” Many of the alleged teachers need it too!”
Oh – /caned./ I thought you meant /canned./
.
Record Total (124 strokes)……
And that explains your current condition (Hah).
My Eastern Kentucky middle and high school experience involved corporal punishment via paddles. Several of my buddies and I decided it would be good to prove our toughness by competing to see which of us could accumulate the most “licks,” or individual paddles strikes from our teachers. This was the mid-80s in rural Appalachia, so paddling were readily available. This went on for a couple of weeks until my father found out about it. I got home from school and he was waiting with his belt. My participation in the contest ended immediately.
How did you earn that 124?
