And of course, so much effort is required by each and every incoming Republican administration to fix the mess (diplomatic, defense, social policy, economics — oy, the list goes on and on) before starting on any positive work.
Two (or three, or four) steps backwards each Democrat administration, half a step forward with the Republicans, then a single step forward again (if we’re lucky) — and then the ungodly get back into power by the usual means (fill in the blanks) and the whole horrible pattern starts all over again.
Small wonder that the U.S. is so much a failing neo-socialist state despite our economic strength.
And our only hope is that the Trump administration manages to get a few steps forward before the cataclysm so that the ungodly have to spend time trying to undo what he did — putting them on the back foot, for a change.

The best thing Trump could do would be to dismantle the funding of the Democrat death cult through our taxes such as USAID and every other government expenditure that finds its way into the pockets of Democrats. I knew that quite a bit of taxpayer funds were wasted on foreign and domestic expenditures but I had no idea such waste was so rampant, deep and condoned. Every year the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste publishes the Congressional Pork Book that documents wasteful spending. This thing is just a Cliff’s Notes publication unfortunately. My nephew and his wife works for the government and he’s still young enough to be idealistic. The amount of waste and incompetence that he relates to me is astounding. The best thing that can happen is to codify the DOGE cuts, trim the fat from the government agencies and make government more lean.
The Democrat party took out a $15 million loan. I hope they default, ruin their credit score and whoever loaned them the money gets fired and run out of the banking industry.
Abolishing the Department of (mis)Education would go a long way towards fixing the problems over the longer term. Letting schools become Marxist indoctrination camps is why so many of the youts think that Socialism is a great idea.

I think the problem goes deeper than just the Federal level. I believe that the state and local levels of the “education” system have been corrupted by totalitarians of various flavors, socialists, communists, fascists or whatever they want to call themselves.
At the college level, many colleges have demanded that DEI rubbish be included in every course. Race, ethnicity and other demographics do not come into play in any mathematics, science or engineering course of study. I’m sure it has little impact on other areas of study as well. This DEI is a cancer destroying everything it touches.
