This was a letter sent to the Daily Mail:
I feel my whole world has turned into a dystopian nightmare. What prompted me to write was that video made by Dawn French. She put on a babyish, whiny voice to mock the agony Jewish people are going through, and reduced the horrors of October 7, 2023 to ‘a bad thing’.
It was so awful it actually made me cry.
Every day I see celebrities such as Benedict Cumberbatch signing letters of protest saying Israel has no right to defend itself – and, honestly, it’s intolerable. Do they all hate Jews so much?
All sense of security in my life has disappeared. Who I once was has gone. This is being a British Jew today in the UK.
My mother’s family goes back five generations in England and I am a typical Yorkshire lass – and Jewish. Now I feel like a stranger in the only country I’ve ever known. Just because of my DNA.
Old friends start to withdraw, get too busy to see you or just ghost you. Other friends, in all industries, are losing contracts, not been hired, ignored by workmates, abused on social media.
You switch on news reports you know (first-hand) are at best biased and at worse false. Politicians such as David Lammy and many Labour backbenchers clearly hate Israel – which is the Holy land of the Bible and the Torah. Everywhere we Jews are lied about and (even worse) narratives are changed to fit centuries-old lies.
I have a friend who is a secondary school teacher. After October 7 she endured daily racial slurs by her students. Her union and the administration didn’t support her, so she felt she had no choice but to leave her job.
I know of two people whose clients have left them as they ‘can’t work with someone who supports that country’. Israel, the elephant in the room for all Jews. Whether we feel connected or not, wherever we live, we are all judged by that.
Worldwide, Jews like me are now realising just how the Holocaust happened. A constant drip of misinformation and prejudice set the groundwork for Kristallnacht and the camps. I still cannot believe that this is happening to us – to me – as British as Les Dawson and Yorkshire pudding. But it is.
Jewish friends constantly discuss where they will go when they have to leave Britain. Where would we be safe? This in 2025 in the UK. I am so afraid, depressed, let down, stateless and terrified for the future – especially for my teenage child.
“Jews like me are now realising just how the Holocaust happened.”
Says it all, really. What was once pretty much a “German” or even “European” thing is now international.
As for me: anger does not begin to describe how I feel about all this. And I’m not Jewish. All I can say is what I’ve always said:
If you come for the Jews, you have to get past me first.
Added: you motherfuckers.
And by the way: don’t bother telling me that your beef isn’t with Jews, but with Israel. That little bit of maskirovka doesn’t work any more.
immigrate to the US legally. Britain and too much of Western Europe has been invaded by muzzies and their ideology. What does Great Britain have left besides nice scenery and quaint villages? It’s a shadow of its former self.
I couldn’t give a shit less about ANY religion, especially from people that insist on pushing it on others.
To that whiney fuk at the beginning I say, “Get over yourself, we ALL have obstacles and yours are no diff.”
If that whiney fuk was unable to feed itself for say, 2 weeks it’d quickly get it’s priorities in order.
Jews proselytize? Who knew? 🙄
It’s getting to be 1453 again; time to stock up on Europeans while they’re still making them. A-a-nd welcome aboard, Pulsar Fusion.
.
If the Izzies want to impress me with their worth, they’d clean up the mess “their” people are soiling our government with here.
Remove their “gun control” promoting “Jew” asses back to Israel where they can promote that shit as much as they want.
It doesn’t belong here and anyone promoting it is our enemy, especially when they’re using our government against us.
I know that’s not the only issue involved, but it is the one that’s fucking me hard right now and it has hardened my attitude towards them as a whole, where before, like ghostsniper, I didn’t really give a shit.
And by the way: don’t bother telling me that your beef isn’t with Jews, but with Israel. That little bit of maskirovka doesn’t work any more.
Okay, but that means that all Jews take the blame for the things Israel does.
No, it means just the opposite.
If you want to oppose the policy choices of the Israeli government, be my guest. March, send nasty letters, write letters to the editor, etc. Whatever.
If you want to abuse Jews in the UK or here in the US – or anywhere else – simply for being Jewish, that’s not OK, whether or not they agree with the Israeli government. Protest the government all you like. Individuals – of all faiths and political beliefs – deserve to be treated with respect. Right up the point where they attempt to impose their policy choices by force. Then all bets are off.
I’m with KIm.
Actually, I read that statement the same way Phelps read it, that our host wasn’t going to differentiate between legitimate criticism of a foreign govt’s policy and anti-semitic violence. But since you openly said we can criticize Israel, here goes –
Israel is not our greatest ally. Hell, at this point, I’m not sure I’d even call them an ally. It’s pretty open knowledge that the whole Epstein/Lolita Express thing was a Mossad operation to blackmail our politicians into supporting a particular foreign govt without question. That’s why those Epstein files will probably never be released. Our relationship with Israel is pretty much a one-way street of the US sending money, weapons, aid, soldiers, and whatever else to support them with zero goose egg zilch nada coming back to us. Even worse, our support of Israel harms our relationship with many other nations in that area.
So, yeah, I’d be happy if we could get to the point where Israel is just one more country in the middle east that we have to deal with, no better no worse than any other, and certainly not in a position to demand as much aid as we’ve already given. In fact, I’m 100% in favor of eliminating all foreign aid, effective immediately.
As for Hamas – I don’t give two shits. Kill them all, just leave us out of it.
Nothing in the above should be taken to suggest I’m anti-Semitic, or that I’m ready to commit violence against Jews, or that I’d support another Holocaust. I’m simply criticizing a foreign govt.
“It’s pretty open knowledge that the whole Epstein/Lolita Express thing was a Mossad operation to blackmail our politicians into supporting a particular foreign govt without question.”
Yea. Let me guess. You also believe in Jewish space lasers and weather control.
If you really don’t believe that Israel is not an ally, you’re clearly not paying attention. It’s the only democracy in a region full of authoritarian states, often with imposition of religious orthodoxy – or worse. And a region that contains much of the world’s vital oil supplies, and a major transportation link vital to global trade.
I get that eliminating all foreign aid tickles your fancy, but it would be quite stupid to do so. But then, your post reeks of shortsighted and stupid, so, well, there’s that. We don’t give foreign aid because we’re nice guys; we give it because it is in our interest to do so. It doesn’t always pan out, of course, nothing does. And some of it has been downright ridiculous; that’s a symptom of the federal bureaucracy’s capture by the left. That has to be torn out, root and branch. But let’s not pretend that the US does not have interests around the world that must be supported; we do. And in terms of percentage of federal spending, “foreign aid” is a drop in a very large bucket.
In this war Israel is engaged with with Iran, certainly our interests are involved too. Iran is the primary supporter of terrorism around the world, and there is no doubt that if Iran had the capability, they’d destroy Israel utterly, and we’d be next on the target parade. When your enemy says they seek to destroy you, believe them. Israel is doing dirty work that has to be done, and doing it with no US forces involved. I’d suggest we give them a hearty “thank you” and assist where it serves our interests to do so.
I hope we don’t actually have to use the bunker buster weapons on the Fordow facility; I’d rather the Israelis find a way to do it without dragging our military in. But I wouldn’t rule it out. Iran cannot have nukes. Period. They’ve made it very plain where they’d use them. And America is absolutely on the target list. Simple deterrence doesn’t always work in a nation dominated by a leadership with a death cult.
Whoa man, there’s a lot to unpack.
Let’s see, I think I can believe that a person can be involved in gathering blackmail evidence and passing it to a foreign govt without simultaneously believing in space lasers. Also, England is openly admitting to attempting to control the weather, so there’s that.
I can also believe that every single penny of foreign aid is tainted by corruption, graft, kickbacks and bribes. They can’t even tell us where half the money given to Ukraine actually went. It may only be a “drop in the bucket” as far as total budget, but given how we’re viewed worldwide I stand by belief that every penny was wasted and I want my tax money back.
Given all the lies and sheer disgusting evil that has long occupied the top levels of our own govt, I trust nothing. Certainly not the lies told to drag us into another war. Bring all our soldiers home, eliminate foreign bases, and guard our borders. Let the rest of the world handle their own business.
I understand you think differently. Maybe switch to decaf and calm down a little.
You are not with Kim. Kim just called you an antisemite, like Don said. Read it again.
Personally, I hope the Israelis kick the living crap out of Iran; Carter should have done so forth years ago, and we might not have had the issues we’ve had since. Iran and its funding of fundamentalist assholes with oil riches is the primary (but not only, unfortunately) roadblock to actual peace in that area.
A little regime change would go a long way, but that’s ultimately up to the Iranian people; they will have to sort that out. The Israelis can lay the groundwork by destroying the regime’s military apparatus, but the people of Iran will have to do the actual regime change themselves.
First they came for the Jews. Then we shot them in the face. The End.
contain the muzzies to the midEast, maybe parts of Africa and Asia. If they don’t play well with the rest of the world, give them a whack until they do.
The law of the wild is might makes right and there are still too many “cultures” out there who haven’t evolved beyond that mantra. They FA so they’ll need to FO
