Yes Salzburg is incredible. I went there with a bud whose son was racing in the Golden Era classic series. Salzburg has a racetrack, not a very exciting one, but a racetrack nonetheless. One of my memories is how amazingly clean the air is. Sitting at the top of the grandstands, about 5km from the city itself, we could see the rooftops and spires as though they were right there. The city also has an amazing rooftop restaurant, can’t remember the name, with at night an unforgettable view of the floodlit Festung Hohensalzburg. Only drawback: Salzburg and Austria in general are not cheap.
