Well, Well, Well

Here (via the Daily Mail ) is a little graphic of how Europe’s political landscape is changing on the topic of dealing with mass “immigration” (invasion):

Notably absent from the above is Britishland.  How are they dealing with the issue?  Well, officially they aren’t:  thousands of “refugees” arrive by boat every week, to be greeted with a cup of tea, free accommodation and, it seems, a license to prey on White British girls.

Needless to say, this little development, then, has caused no end of pearl-clutching:

Britain’s busiest ferry port was blockaded by hundreds of men dressed in black, causing an hours-long gridlock and miles of tailbacks on surrounding roads.

Footage showed demonstrators piling out of the back of a van before they marched through the town, chanting ‘Whose streets? Our streets’ and ‘stop the boats’ as dozens of police officers were called in to follow them.

Politicians have condemned the balaclava-clad mob who stormed the port of Dover yesterday – as migrant protesters warned ‘it’s only the beginning’.

When I first saw pics of this (completely peaceful) protest, I thought it was one of the Antifa-style shows:

But no… these stout bulldogs were just taking a leaf from the Antifa playbook — and considering the attitude of the BritGov lackeys, who are conspicuous by their heavy-handed treatment of these so-called “rightwing” groups (they aren’t), one can’t really blame them.

Also note that there’s no display of “triggering” regalia (that would be the St. George Cross of England) that might give any advance notice to the fuzz as to the group’s identity and motivation.

Interesting times.  All these groups — British and European alike — need is an electoral victory à la Trump to start the immigration rollback.  And the current crop of Leftist politicians are terrified of such an event, because I suspect that the “rightwing” parties’ repatriation drive will make our ICE look like a bunch of choirboys.  (Well, one can only hope.)

Which is why the other political parties form coalitions to stop groups like the German AfD and Austrian FP (see chart above) from coming to power.  But they won’t be able to keep the cork in this particularly-well-shaken bottle of fizz to pop for much longer.

Popcorn futures are soaring Over Here…

Flock News Update

Here we go again:

Columbus police have paused their use of Flock automatic license plate readers after an officer was accused of searching the same plate more than 270 times over roughly 14 months.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that Mayor Andrew Ginther called the allegations against the officer “deeply troubling” in comments made this week as the city moved to immediately halt use of the cameras and cover them with bags to prevent further data collection. The city will also audit all Flock searches conducted by Columbus police, and City Council is drafting legislation to govern how the cameras can be used going forward.

Considering that these godless fucking snooping devices seem to be all over the United States, I think it’s time for federal legislation — it’s too big an issue to be left to municipalities and even states to address.

And I absolutely hate the feds to get involved in anything, except where Constitutional principles are involved — like here.

Levels

Sent to me by Reader Sean F.:

…who thinks that he’s reached Level 4.

So have I, with only a slight difference in gun choice.

…but yeah, conceptually I’m there.  I’m too old to fuck around with all that modern shit.

Monday Funnies

And from the Classical Files:

So on we go… but first, a pause for station identification:

And:

Speaking of body parts, try these:

And a little MILFy goodness, just to end it all.

Oh, and seeing this is a holiday, I’m taking the rest of the day off — celebrating Labor Day by not working.

See y’all tomorrow.

OBSMBH

…or, “O be still, my beating heart”.

As Longtime Readers know full well, I have always been a YUGE fan of Alfa Romeo cars despite never having owned one.  Pound for pound, I think that Alfa Romeo have made some of the world’s most beautiful cars over their long and storied history.  Here are just a few, to illustrate my point:

1935 Tipo 8C 2900B

1936 8C 2300 Le Mans Tourer

1938 8C 2900B Mile Miglia

1954 1900 C Super Sport Touring

1959 Giulietta Spider Veloce

1965 Giulia Super Sport 1965

1966 2600 Spider

1966 Giulia Super

(quite possibly my favorite “small family saloon car” of all time)

1967 33 Stradale

1967 Spider Duetto

1970 Junior Zagato

1970 GTV Veloce

…and I think you get my drift.

Now, as any fule kno, Alfa Romeo have also been, in the memorable words of James May, “purveyors of disappointment for decades”, in that they are and always have been hopelessly unreliable.  That sweet howl of the 1600cc engine and silky gear change are inevitably followed by a clutch failing after only 2,000 miles, or a rearview mirror falling off on the way home from the showroom, or any number of other ailments which manufacturers like Honda managed to address long ago.

This has not deterred the “Alfisti”, that devoted band of  fools  followers of the brand who despite all hurdles, have an abiding love of anything Alfa Romeo.

For an Alfisto wannabe like me, therefore, the abiding thought is:  if only Alfa could do actual engineering production of their cars (instead of just matchless design and styling), would they not be a brand to be reckoned with in the car market?

Well, someone has set out to do just that, only in the Alfa aftermarket.  Take a few minutes to see how Alfaholics manage to do it.

You can just also watch the Throttle House nerds drive one (as well as a Porsche 911K [sic] ).

My final thought:  if I won a really big lottery, I’d get these maniacs to work their magic on a 1971 Montreal.

The thought of that glorious 2.6-liter engine getting up to 11,000rpm…

Now maybe you’ll understand the OBSMBH title.
