Northern Cape, South Africa 1983

Taken on one of my  poaching  hunting trips, out near the edge of the Kalahari Desert.

I finally got round to scanning a whole bunch of my old photos brought over from Seffrica in The Great Wetback Episode of 1986, so these “African” pics will run occasionally for the next few months.

    1. It does look pretty strongly like Southern California, since you mention it. Maybe we’ll see Guy Williams or Guy Madison, or Leslie Nielson gallop by on a horse. If not them, how about Gene Barry, Roy Rogers, or Gene Autry?

    1. Pretty much anything. Mostly wildebeest, zebra, impala and small game like warthogs and such. Plains game. Also lions and cheetahs, but very scarce. Not much water, either.

Mostly, the land was farmed except where there was no water a all.
