More Like It

Yesterday, in the great state of Texas, I filled my tank at Kroger’s in-house gas station, and paid $1.86 per gallon.

Granted, some of this was via a discount through Kroger’s points program, but I’ll take it any way I can.

I think I’ll pop over to New Wife’s workplace and get her car filled as well.  Maybe take a few jerrycans along for the ride.

And then I’ll swing by the range, because Murka.

  1. I only get gas about 4-5 times a year but the last time I did was just like you did. Kroger points, and the cost was about the same. I’m almost down to a quarter tank so I need to go do that again.

I don’t, however, have a pistol case loaded like that and wish I did.
I have 7 pistols but they are all semi’s. sigh

  2. Nice lookin’ shoot irons. Every winter we go to Florida and I pick a half dozen guns to take. Typically its 2-22’s , 2-9mm’s and 2 carry guns(9’s). This year is going to be a revolver theme for range guns. Except for a S&W 686 plus it will be Rugers; gp100 and blackhawk in 357 cal and sp101 and gp100 in 22 cal. Still going back and forth about carry guns. Do I take s&w shields or Beretta px4’s? Decisions, decisions. Note on Blackhawk, it has both 357 and 9mm cylinders. I’m not a single action sort of guy but a friend of my daughter was selling his guns to-pay for medical treatment so I bought it to help him out.

  3. “I’m not a single action sort of guy”

That’s okay, we include people of all persuasions here.

That double-action thing is just a passing fad anyway.
