Some Black Friday silliness from PSA:

As I pointed out to Mr. Free Market, that’s $350 for a rifle and cartridge I’d take out into the bush with confidence, any day of the week.
Despite that ugly-ass plastic stock.

You bastard. It is currently up to 449 post rebate, which is still bad enough. But 32006 which is nearly the same gun in black with a factory mounted scope and 369 post rebate. I am both too broke and don’t need it, so I am counting on my fellow gun nerds to throw themselves on these before I can….
My deer slayer is functionally equivalent, but by Winchester–M70 Classic Stainless also in 308. Listed weight is 7 lbs. I deliberately got the black plastic stock as it would accompany a klutz like me into the field. With my FFL, my dealer cost was $462, back in 1995.
That is a stupid cheap price for that Savage. Good on PSA. Sad to say it is just one more bellwether on the state of the economy. The gun industry can’t hardly give stuff away.
I’d love a good bolt action rifle in 7mm-08 but my funds are depleted.
I saw a gorgeous Smith & Wesson K22 for sale in very nice condition for $600 last weekend. I’d love to buy it especially since they usually sell for $1k or so
It’s a good cartridge. Keep on looking.
Tha is a good price. I bought th 110 I had in 1990 for about $300. And that was no scope. Was my primary deer rifle until about 2010 when I switched to the K98 I use now.
