Quote Of The Day

From Bradley Iger at MotorTrend:

“Politicians and automakers have discovered that trying to change the buying habits of Americans through legislation and a reduction of choice is a great way to alienate a substantial portion of the motoring public.”

Too bad the penalty for such “alienation” doesn’t include copious quantities of  tar and feathers, but I’ll take what I can get.

  1. Choosing an engine with vastly lower power output because you like loud noises is among the most American things ever.

    1. Vastly? There’s only about a 5% difference in power. For most of us, it’s the difference between an engine with a proven 20+ year history vs the high strung turbo 6 in a 1st year configuration. The old ways are the best, and the old timers taught us to NEVER buy the first year model of anything.
