You are correct, and I went to the one in 1977.
It combines a beer festival with a funfair and is held annually in Munich on the Theresienwiese from mid-September to the first Sunday in October.
Yep, I have 2 buddies that were in Munich last week. From Atlanta it is cheaper to fly into Stuttgart and catch the shuttle to Munich.
the pictures get better and better. Dirndls are beautiful dresses. Beer and beautiful ladies. The only thing that would make it better would be a morning spent afield with some firearms and some well trained bird dogs.
