System Update

Got a new laptop.  Lenovo.  (Hello, my little yellow friends over in Beijing!  Enjoy what you read here!  You fuckers.)

Busy re-installing my entire life, which may take a while.

Blogging will be light today… and maybe even tomorrow.

I haven’t broken anything yet, nor have I felt the urge to throw the thing in the pool;  but the day is young.  At least all the keys respond when pressed, and I don’t need packing tape to keep the power cord plugged in, to mention just a couple of benefits.

  1. good luck with the new computer.

I think mine is about ten years old and probably needs to be updated. It does what I want but it doesn’t do what microsoft wants such as connect to one cloud or use their new operating system. Microsoft and Bill gates can go dine upon a satchel of used turds

  2. Lenovos have a great reputation (but then again, so does Asus), hopefully you don’t get a lemon. I used three of them at my last couple of employers usually going 4-5 years with each. Pretty durable.

Good luck! You’ll want to go to the range after the chore of setting it up. But keep the guns and ammo locked up while you do the work. I don’t want to read tomorrow you shot the damn thing already! Lol

Kim, we just might be brothers by different mothers. Over recent years, when I have found myself needing to rebuild my electronic life (three times in five years), there comes a point where I have an almost overpowering urge to throw my computer (or phone, or medical devices) into the pool. The deep end!

Keep the Tanqueray close. You may well need it.

    1. Even without having to deal with a new computer, my “magic box” took an up-grade overnight and everything is moving VERY slow this morning.

  4. I’ve used (used) Lenovos since before they were weaned from One Big Mother, and have endorsed them. Breeding tells.

  5. I have a Lenovo laptop I’m pretty satisfied with. I knew it was Chinese made, so I disabled the camera and mics immediately on set-up. And just in case the little chink fuckers got around that I stuck electrical tape over the camera lens and mics.

After set-up Kim can take the old Asus out to the range with his .22 rifle and slowly plink the little fucker to pieces!
