LW in the description stands for Light Weight. The frame is Aluminum. I picked one up at Dunhams a few years ago. It is noticeably lighter than my other 5” 1911’s but I have no idea about durability as health issues have only recently allowed me resume shooting manly pistols.
That is an excellent price. Like you I suspect, I have gotten recent emails from Brownell’s, Natchez, et. al, are full of sales, price cuts, free shipping, free hazmat. Seems they can hardly give the stuff away. Maybe a bit of a rush out west–
