From Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA, not the dead Massachusetts one):
“I’ve met James Comey. I’ve met John Brennan. And I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think either of them could follow more than six of the Ten Commandments on a good day.”
Me, I’ll take “four out of ten” for $400, Alex.
“From Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA, not the dead Massachusetts one)”
Next month we can all celebrate. On August 25th, 2025 Ted Kennedy will be celebrating 16 years of being sober.
Meh. Four of the ten are all about in-group identification anyway (sabbath day, other gods, name, graven images), nothing that really relates to inter-personal relations (IE: morality).
Anyone who adheres to the other six (that shalt not murder, steal, lie, covet, commit adultery, and thou shalt honor thy parents) is a pretty good person (though it would help on that last one if the parents were, themselves, honorable).
Did Kennedy mention *which* six he thought Brennan and Comey might obey? Because we know they’re both quite comfortable with bearing false witness…
