Changing The Rules

We’ve all seen it:  Lefties, anarchists, so-called “liberals” and so on assaulting conservatives, whether on the streets, in restaurants, in gyms, whatever.

The toxicity of the resistance to President Trump has risen in recent days, with the nation’s most respected newspapers publishing rationalizations for denying Trump supporters public accommodation and for doxxing career federal employees, while a journalist found himself under physical attack from the so-called anti-fascist group Antifa, which has stepped up its violent activities since Trump’s election.
The justification for denying public accommodation came from the Washington Post in an op-ed by Stephanie Wilkinson, the owner of a farm-to-table restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. Wilkinson became famous in June of last year, when she refused to serve White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and and told Sanders and her family to leave the restaurant. Wilkinson’s staff then followed the Sanders group in protest as they tried to find another place to eat.
Wilkinson later told the press she ejected Sanders because the Trump administration is “inhumane and unethical” and because the Red Hen “has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation.”

Really?

“If you’re an unsavory individual,” Wilkinson concluded, “we have no legal or moral obligation to do business with you.” Better to stay home than risk the spittle. (In her new article, Wilkinson discussed the case of The Aviary, a trendy bar in Chicago where a waitress recently spat on Eric Trump, the president’s son.)

Sounds like the stakes are getting a little more serious — especially when the so-called “law enforcement” agencies are looking the other way.

But the real enablers here are the politicians and journalists who’ve championed Antifa, such as the CNN presenter Chris Cuomo, as well as the Portland authorities who have consistently turned a blind eye to the criminal behavior of the group. Indeed, Andy himself was assaulted by an Antifa activist at his gym last month and the Portland Police took no action. And he was punched in the stomach while covering an Antifa May Day protest in Portland while a police officer stood by and did nothing.

And here’s the real take:

Antifa fighters beat up and milkshaked Ngo, apparently because he was there and he was not on their side.

So “if you’re not with us, you’re against us” ?  O-o-o-okay.  Powerline puts it this way:

Liberals act as though they are spoiling for a civil war, or at least a slow-motion approximation thereof. Is that really what they want? Fighting in the streets? And, evidently, the restaurants? Do they have reason to think they would fare well if they actually got what they claim to want?

Just remember, assholes, when some Pantifa Pussy gets a .357 Mag bullet in the face for tossing a concrete-laced milkshake at someone — you started this bullshit, not us.

Escalation can come from both sides, after all.

  1. This country is so cucked. I keep hearing about the assaults perpetrated by the american communists but I rarely hear about grown american patriots laying waste to the criminals. What’s up with that? I come from a time, and live in that time still, when men defended themselves and their immediate associates and family against all assaults on the spot. Did that mindset go out of style for most people?

I avoid all of that nonsense because first, I hate all people equally, and second, I practice the Remus rule of “Avoid Crowds”. That steel chair with color coordinated padding in any of the stylish sit down restaurants has the ultimate purpose of putting a lot of people in the emergency room if they find politely habitating out in public unbearable.

All the adults have left the cities and there is nothing left but whiney children, many of them closely resembling adults.

    1. ghostsniper, you’re not wrong but let me give you one more thing to consider.

if you defend yourself, if you fight back, then all the police who stood by while the pantifa pussies attacked will come and lay a smack down on you and then charge you with as many crimes as they can pile on.

      it’s already happened many times.

meanwhile the morons in black, if they get charged, get free legal and then get let off with a slap on the wrist at most.

is it any wonder why too many people are unwilling to step up?

eventually, things will come to a head, and the leftist agitators and their supporters will being a tsunami of pain upon their heads.

it’s a question of when, not if.

  2. Always knew I’d get into trouble for liking the 6.5×55… damn difficult to make THAT into a rule. Guess I’ll just have to be content with Rules #38 and #45, then.

    1. More guidelines than Rules….

Let’s call it Rule Xmm – covers your 6.5×55 and my 8mm.

  3. This problem is going to occur with increasing frequency:
“Daniel Tuski Bertrand, 25, was arrested and charged with 4th-degree assault, a misdemeanor offence, after the attack in the Downtown area of Portland, Oregon. The unnamed 44-year-old woman reportedly suffered a broken eye socket in the attack, and later told local news: ‘I’m just happy to be alive and to have my eyesight.’ Bouncers from the street, where the alleged assault happened on Southwest 2nd avenue and Ankeny Street, shared the footage. Bertrand was charged, and has since been released.”
No bail was posted since the judge asked for none.
This “…alleged assault…” is on tape; how is it “alleged”? The woman reportedly suffered a broken eye socket and this becomes a fourth degree misdemeanor?
The police in Portland have zero morale; anyone wonder why this is? It should be noted that Portland’s mayor, Ted Wheeler, has told the police to “stand down” in all situations like this.
For quite a while, The Daily Mail was the only medium that carried any news of this horrific, unprovoked attack.

    1. “…Portland’s mayor, Ted Wheeler, has told the police to “stand down” in all situations like this…”
      ==========

If this is true Wheeler should be confiscated in the middle of the night and disappeared without a trace. The next in command will take note.

  4. Weather Forecast: Forecast calls for a period of “Night & Fog”. Duration TBD.
Rule 1911 well suits me but Rule 22 also speaks quietly with proven dependability, authority and anonymity.

  5. Somebody with a better ear than me for a turn of phrase posited [paraphrasing] “The Antifa crowd and their ilk is gradually turning up the volume of assaults with impunity; their problem will come when they realize to their horror that they have a volume knob which allows incremental escalation, while the Silent Conservatives do not have one; they have and off/on switch.”
The Right will not give any truck to proportional violence when it finally comes. “On” = cold, merciless fury.
The nexus of the problem running through this thread and others elsewhere is that the criminal Left seldom feels consequences for their actions at any level, from Hillary’s email and play for pay, down to the punks who throw concrete milkshakes; when they finally do pay, it will come upon them like a dam burst or flash flood.

    1. That would be Larry Correia, author, gun nut, accountant, and exceptionally awesome fellow (I’ve met him a couple times).

      From his blogpost:
“A friend of mine who is a political activist said something interesting the other day, and that was for most people on the left political violence is a knob, and they can turn the heat up and down, with things like protests, and riots, all the way up to destruction of property, and sometimes murder… But for the vast majority of folks on the right, it’s an off and on switch. And the settings are Vote or Shoot Fucking Everybody. And believe me, you really don’t want that switch to get flipped, because Civil War 2.0 would make Bosnia look like a trip to Disneyworld.”

  6. It appears to me that these left-thugs have been playing with home field advantage and at some point they will kill a few people accidentally on purpose when the game gets out of hand and the refs (left-cops) don’t call a foul in time. This shit makes me sad and I am also thinking that if they decide to start playing away games the outcome will be much different.

One thing is for certain, it is going to get worse, much worse during this next 16 months leading up to Trump winning the election once more. (God willing and the creek don’t rise.)

  7. The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw, and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.

    Sir Arthur “Bomber” Harris

Substitute Antifa for Nazis and this is what I foresee coming.

  8. Got it Stephanie, I look forward to peeing in your salad bar next visit, you unsavory individual.

  9. I’ve been spreading the following — er — liberally around on social media: “Let us reflect upon the fact that a man who covers his face shows reason to be ashamed of what he is doing. A man who takes it upon himself to shed blood while concealing his identity is a revolting perversion of the warrior ethic. It has long been my conviction that a masked man with a gun is a target. I see no reason to change that view.” — Col Jeff Cooper
