  1. Way back when, my gf and I were discussing what movie to see. She said, “Anne of a Thousand Days.”

I said, “Three Musketeers. It’s also an historical film–”

    “Who’s in it?”

“Michael York, you like him a lot don’t you, Richard Chamberlain, he was Dr Kildare, Charlton Heston–”

    “And?”

    “Um, Raquel Welch.”

“Anne of a Thousand Days it is.”

  2. took me a while but I finally found it. What rifle is Welch holding in the last picture? which movie is this from?

Raquel Welch certainly aged well. I ‘ll have to look for that Three Musketeers movie.

  3. IMO, I associate Racquel with the late 60’s and early 70’s, and the Lambo Countach with the early/mid 80’s, which introduces a bit of a temporal discrepancy, despite the technical overlap of the mid 70’s. I’d say a better pairing would be Heather Thomas, Christy Brinkley, or Kelley LeBrock.

    1. Of course, there are those who would consider Raquel’s beauty to be timeless…

      1. I not arguing the timelessness of Raquel’s appeal, by any means.

I’m just saying that in high school/college in the 80’s, the Lambo Countach posters were ubiquitous, and I can’t recall a single poster of Racquel’s anywhere.
