From the Department Of Here We Fucking Go Again:

…while in the Fourth Reich:

...wait, you mean all that lockdown shit didn’t work?

Back to some good news, for a change:

...which will be reported by mainstream media in:  10,000… 9,999… 9,998…

...don’t care who or what you are;  you kill someone, Missouri will kill you right back.  As it should be.

...wish we’d done that to the fucking Californians.

...as the NYFT slides deeper and deeper into delusion and irrelevance.

wait… this was in California?

And of course, would any news roundup be complete without a Republican circular firing squad?

...that said, I’m not comfortable with a California Republican in a power seat — the last time we had that, Richard Nixon gave us the Environmental Protection Agency, by executive order.

From the INSIGNIFICA files:

And finally, for something a little different:

...no, I don’t know who she is either, some Brit actress I think, but let me introduce her to y’all:

And if that isn’t somewhat better news than we’ve been seeing… well, I give up.

My first thought when I read this was: did Kim forget about Ronald Reagan? I thought about it some more, and did a little bit of research, and it turns out that Nixon and Kevin McCarthy were both born and raised in California, while Reagan was born and raised in Illinois (mostly far away from Chicago), so I suppose you can use that to classify Reagan as an Illinois Republican.

  3. Trudeldumber, the bastard commie son of Mrs. Trudeledumb and Fidel Castro, banning me from selling my inflationary valued rental residential properties to foreigners means that I will have to take a reduced pre-inflation price if I am forced to sell if old age or Trudeldumber inspired apoplectic rage strike me down.

Government market tampering is NEVER a good idea.

  4. GOP Speaker = sound & fury signifying nothing. Their majority is razor thin; they don’t have the votes to override a veto regardless of who they choose or what they pass. They’ll preen and pose (see: LIE) to their base, and sashay into 2024 bragging about their policies while blaming Brandon as the roadblock to an agenda they don’t support in the first place. The Stupid Party LOVES this shit. They get to pretend they’re something they’re not – big government tapeworms – and all they have to invest is lip service. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

  5. Near the end of the linked article about the Brit who had to sleep in his car while waiting for an appendicitis operation, there’s this bit of info: “12,000 hospital beds were taken up by bed-blockers in the last week.”

WTF is a “bed-blocker”? Google tells me that in the USA, it’s an object put under the bed legs to raise the bed. But in formerly Great Britain, it’s a patient ready for discharge that remains in the hospital because they don’t have another place for him. When the patients are paying for their hospital stay the hospital is more likely to have a problem keeping them until it’s safe to discharge them, but in fGB the hospital stay is always “free”, so if a homeless person is lucky enough to land in a hospital overnight, he’ll likely find it much more comfortable than the alternatives – and that bed may be tied up forever.
